Just pull up her videos and continue listening and you will see what everyone is talking about. She doesn't belt unless the song calls for a belt, and boy can she belt. She has an unbelievable vocal range, great breath control, great phrasing, great vibrato, great airiness, and great runs. She could sing the phone book. It is especially interesting listening to vocal coaches analyzing her voice and vocal techniques. She grew up listening to jazz. She won Norway's got Talent at age 7. One of the songs she sang was Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday. The first song you listened to was her own original and I think it was well thought out and she knew the sound she was going for. Although belting is not always necessary in a song, if you still think it is, then I would suggest her covers of Nina Simone's Feeling Good (the TV version with the jazzy band performance), Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing (the studio version or her performance in concert), Adele's All I Ask and Easy On Me, and her original Million Miles (which is a song she wrote after the passing of her grandfather). One of her strengths is her ability to convey emotion in her covers and her original songs. She has been doing that since she was young. Also check out Amy Winehouse's Back to Black. She changed the lyrics because her mother felt the lyrics were not appropriate for a young girl.

Angelina has always created her arrangements. At the start of "I Put a Spell On You" you can see her writing and then the musician reading it. Some children are just blessed with incredible talents. Alma Deutscher, completed her full opera by age 10, composing the music for each instrument in the orchestra and yes I find her music very emotional. Each artist is not everyone's cup of tea. I doubt The Beatles had 50% of the population as fans. If Angelina is not your cup of tea, then I only ask to be sure to always support her persistent message of kindness and desire to help the children of the world.

Whew ! ... only now can I feel fully assured that being invited to perform on the Champions version of AGT (at age 13), getting a standing ovation from a live audience, earning the Golden Buzzer, and Simon calling it an "amazing performance" (to say nothing of Queen giving her rights to her version) weren't just "hype." Other singers are Dinah Washington, Etta James, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, and some other Jazz greats. I mentioned it in a previous comment, but you probably didn't see it. This was her own musical arrangement of this song and normally, she either has a hand or has complete control in the arrangements of all of her songs. Since she trained in Jazz, it's about the storytelling and emotions of a song and not vocal gymnastics. Just because you can, doesn't mean you always should do it. She got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum and went straight to the Finals. This performance went viral and to date, has over 100 million plus views. Also, the remaining members of Queen saw her performance and posted on their Twitter account, "Wow, what a rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody!" You may have not seen it, but after she got the Golden Buzzer, Simon Cowell came on stage, gave her a hug, and said to, "I don't think you know how good you are! Really!"

I put a spell on you was done in the screaming j Hawkins version and she arranged and chose it herself. She has the nickname little boss. She was signed to Republic records 2 years ago, and before that (and now) she chooses, writes her music and lyrics for her songs. So everything you hear is from her, and her alone.

It doesnt take talent to belt, thousands of singers can do that. Angelina only gives the song what she believes it needs, that is her genius. Most try to belt every phrase of every song to show their talent, but have no other, or very few other tools in their vocal toolbox

She later took the entire competition at 8 years old singing George Gershwin's Summertime. BTW Angelina is a child prodigy, who has been arranging her own music since 6 years old. Quincy Jones called her the best child singer since Michael Jackson and she was invited to sing, Fly me to the Moon, for Quincy's 85th birthday in London. I think what the Angels (her fans) want more than anything is for people with, or without a trained ear, to appreciate her as the gift from heaven, that we believe she is, to resurrect the lost art of True musical artistic talent. There are hundreds of qualified voice coaches, teachers, music critics, and just plain fans who have reacted to all of her music including I put a spell on you and actually heard and felt her ability to convey the emotions of that song, and other songs that she sings. So it's okay if you're not impressed with Angelina Jordan though hundreds of critics, and thousands of fans are impressed with her. You just, like anybody else are entitled to your opinion, and no one can fault you for what you're opinion on this is. Obviously your opinion does not jive with most people's opinion about Angelina Jordan, and that's okay too. But if you keep doing reactions with your particular attitude about her, and your particular criticisms of her you are going to run into many criticisms from her fans about your reactions, and as long as they are respectful that's okay too. You can maintain your lackadaisical attitude about this child prodigy who is, and was always a brilliant artist even as a child of 7 years old, but understand that the thousands of her fan base will just not tune in on your reactions, because you're allowed not to like her, or not to be impressed with her, but we fans are allowed not to like your reactions. Now Republic records let Toby Gad do whatever he can to fix Angelina's weakness in belt-out singing obviously, so I DO ENCOURAGE Toby put Angelina on 500 talk shows or 1000 talk shows to sing and win all young American girls over.
