That is correct…a name he resurrected from the band he was in at university and for years after ..til it folded and he joined a band at his work . As I understand it, he and his Uni friends named it PITTA which means a fairy pit …”which is filled with different charms” just like the music they wanted to make. He got the old band mates’ blessing to use the name as his rock act which includes Lee EunWoo(or YoonWoo) as the 2nd PITTA band member . The problem of misinformation is because there is not one single place people can source verified information from. Interviews with HyungHo are of course in Korean, both spoken and written, but there are different translations depending on the proficiency of the translator of what he has actually said…if there was an official source with access to captions in other languages on his official channel, this would alleviate so much confusion. There are so many articles online with conflicting data, someone who has the correct knowledge and an understanding of languages has to request either correction or removal of the erroneous information. Internationals like me rely on google translate here in the comment section, so we are at the mercy of how accurate the translations are. Sometimes correct facts are lost in translation too. And please, if I have any inaccuracies, kindly and gently correct me if I’m wrong…that is how I learn too.😅❤

The two members of PITTA Band are Kang Hyung-ho and Lee Yong-woo. They named the band PITTA, which is the name of Kang's solo career. That's why PITTA is Kang. In Korea, there are many bands with leader names like PITTA Band and Yoon Do-Hyun Band. And PITTA means eight shapes of birds. It is connected to PITTA's special tone, but it is also directly related to his various musical literacy.

@@cutevalen So , just for clarity for me so I don’t give wrong information, are you saying that the explanation given in an interview about the original PITTA band name and it’s meaning back in university was incorrect? (See above reply). Because If that is the case then the erroneous article I read should be removed, because that is what many international fans would also still be reading online when they search for the reason for the name even as I type this. We can only go by what is published …until someone corrects us and as there is no official source of information on his official channel for internationals…confusion and misinformation abounds!. I did mention this in my reply above to pittalove1004 . This is the first time I’m hearing about the bird being the inspiration for the name after a year of looking for information about Forestella and the individual members’ solo activity. So is any of the information I wrote above correct at all? or which information is actually incorrect so I can fix it. I thought he resurrected / reused the PITTA name with blessings from the other original members of the band PITTA that he was a member of during his University days and beyond. This was because he wanted to use it for his rock activity that he restarted in 2020 with Lee EunWoo(YoonWoo), the 2nd band member of PITTA band. IS THIS TRUE OF FALSE ? Is the meaning for the original name of the band that started at university different to the meaning of the name PITTA band now? True or False? Did HyungHo choose a meaning for the PITTAband name that he use now for his rock activity? True of False? How do we correctly refer to him when he is promoting or performing rock activity outside Forestella? Because I’m getting confused now. 🧐😵‍💫Where does an international fan like me & others go to find the official & factually correct information about Hyungho and Forestella members? I really would like, once and for all, a clear understanding of the facts and I’m sure others would too.

@@hildommar It's all true. Your explanation is not wrong. It's appropriate to call him pitta, as sometimes the band names themselves after the frontman. It is also true that he borrowed the name of a band he was a member of in the past. So both explanations are correct.😊
