couldn't find my exact hitch locks but if i need another set i will give these a try. mine were over $60. at dans 2 years ago when i bought them (definitely getting my $$ worth).They have held up great but these look like a deal if they hold up and love that they're keyed alike.

Excellent tutorial on how to set these hitches up! I ran an EAZ Lift for years, which I believe are almost identical to your Husky, except that the spring bar sockets were enclosed. Some interesting details in setting these up are as follows: to determine how much to tension the spring bars, measure the distance from the bumpers (front and rear) of the truck to the ground before hooking up and write these measurements down. Then hook up the trailer and adjust the spring bar tensions until both front and rear bumpers on the truck squat equally, with about an inch more squat at the rear bumper than at the front. Once this step is done the hitch weight is properly equalized. Next count the number of chain links that remain between the brackets on the trailer tongue and spring bars. Ideally, you want at least 4-6 links of chain here to allow for turning, since the ends of the spring bars need room to shift front to back during tight turns. To increase/decrease the number of links, unhook the trailer and adjust the tilt of the ball mount by adding/removing the shim washers. Each shim washer is equivalent to one link of chain. And if you feel you need to raise or lower the hitch height for different trailer tongue heights, the spacing of the holes in the shank is also equivalent to one link of chain. In other words, if you needed to raise the hitch head 1 hole, you would also subtract the number of links showing by 1 and your amount of weight distribution will remain the same. I hope this gibberish makes sense. I really like this style of hitch because it can be fine-tuned like this. Safe travels!

On my personal camper, I crank the sway down about as tight as I can get it by hand. Makes a world of difference when you’re on the interstate with big trucks. I actually double pull with my boat behind the camper.

Great info! I have the Reese WDH and both large washers have always been on top bolt. I added lock washers to both bolts since they started backing off. No trouble since. I just bought the Gen Y torsion 16k lbs hitch and going to get it installed and setup today.

To get rid of the slack between the receiver, take a metal roofing screw with a 1/4” head on it, screw one on each upper corner of the receiver. It acts like a wedge. It’ll never rattle again. Only problem is you have to remove the screws in order to remove the hitch from your truck. I’ve used Philips screws before, but the the 1/4” head is easier to remove if you need to.

Any loose hitch gets a U bolt kit to keep it from flopping around.

The farther it sticks out the less tongue weight or it puts too much leverage on the hitch and can crack the shank if you have alot of tongue weight..

I agree, definitely more leverage but with shank being rated for 21k lbs and the weight distribution shank being a double shank it should be ok with the bumper pulls i pull.

Drill and Tap a Hole in the top of the Hitch Receiver and then put a Brass Screw in it to tighten it up.

@@CFarmer Using either Brass screw are a small piece of brass between the set screw and the item you want to lock I have found works really well. The cheapest brass screws would be a Bowl to Tank in plumbing.

I did but i was told the torsion hitch needed to match the weight of the trailer and pulling so many different trailers i didn't know how that would work for me

@@CFarmer yes, i agree with what you were told, if you tow 9k you can only have 10k torsion, if you tow more with different trailer, you need a different torsion
