You go to a doctor for care, and the doctor can't tell the difference between aspirin and tylenol. Would you let that doctor do anything for you, or would you run out of there as fast as possible? You're air conditioner goes out, so you call a roofer to fix it right? How can people that do not know the most basic facts and zero common sense make an intelligent decision that will affect them as well as 330+ million people for the rest of their lives? And it's not just that they don't know, they don't care because this situation is not something new, it's been getting progressively worse for the past 20 years, hence the "woke" movement of ignorance.

I LOVE YOUR REACTION TO THIS!!! Yes, these are random people that they stopped on the street, they signed a release form (so they were agreeing to be filmed - mot likely paid for this) and asked random questions. These are basic basic questions. Things all US citizens should know and be taught while in grammar (elementary) school. Remember your reaction to George Carlin. Remember what he said about education? That they started to "lower" the passing grades? This is what happens!!! I'm 52. I went to grammar school 1975 to 1982. Junior high 1982 to 1984. High school 1984 to 1988. When I went to school it was a requirement to pass the grade that you pass a test on the State Constitution (whatever State you lived in - that State's Constitution) and you had to pass a test on the US Constitution. Dimes is a coin. $0.10 is a dime. Our coin system: $0.01 Penny (Abraham Lincoln). $0.05 Nickel (Thomas Jefferson). $0.10 Dime (Franklin D. Roosevelt). $0.25 Quarter (George Washington). $0.50 Half Dollar (John F. Kennedy). So if a dime is 10 cents, then 10 dimes = $1.00. It's honestly simple math and these idiots can't count. The Civil War was the US, the North and the South (fighting over economics and slavery). 3x3x3 is 27. What state is Utah in? Utah is a state. Bordering countries, Canada and Mexico (not New Mexico - that's a state in the US). Name 3 countries? Canada, Mexico, Japan, France, Spain, Turkey, China, Greenland, Iceland, on and on. Chicago, were I'm from is a city in Illinois (not the capital). Springfield is the capital of Illinois. These people are super dumb. And then you wonder why the US elected an con man like Donald Trump to be president. Because people here are f*ckin' dumb!!! But I LOVE YOUR REACTION to this!!!

Hey Jon, I'm a decade behind you and I went to school in the public education system of Scotland. All of these questions are laughably easy, including the US specific ones, since the US is an important country (especially in the Anglosphere) and therefore many basics about its history are widely known. There is not one of my friends here for example, who didn't know how many stars are on the US flag and why. Never mind the much more general stuff, like simplistic A.F. mental arithmetic. The civil war questions I find it terrible that so many young people are astonishingly ignorant... and so it goes on. But what I really wanted to say is, this *must be* deliberate. There is an agenda, surely, behind such a failure of education? These people have brains, filled with pointless knowledge, never taught to think critically, reason nor the basic building blocks of other knowledge, such as the basic history of your own country and basic arithmetic.

What boggles the mind is not that they knew so little. It's the fact that they avoid knowledge actively. It's like they want to know nothing. Well i can't really blame them, i wish i knew so little that i can sleep better at nights, too. They seem happier than me. When i was 25, chilling with couple of male friends from university at a bar, we met some girls who are 18-19, just signed up for college. Getting jiggy with it music video came on, one of girls said "i didn't know he rapped, wasn't he an actor" and i looked my friends like "see, i told you guys they were too young for you". And that was 11 years ago. My fave question was 60mph for an hour. He asked how far, they answered minutes. They don't even know what distance is.

😳 It's more an American issue but older generations really are more likely to know the answers. but nah this isn't the average. Maybe certain states have education this bad & lower average IQ. A lot of developmental issues in the poor areas. Its sad. But this isn't the average.. And don't forget these people aren't our future leaders. We have a lot of immigrants who end up in positions of power while dumb people stay poor & struggle to survive. A lot of extremes in intelligence & wealth in the US

Unfortunately it is real. Although these are American based questions my young daughters smashed out the answers. Some they didn't know but were able to make educated guesses to arrive at answers relatively close to being correct. It's a sad situation for these people.

The interviewer has said that it's around 30% of the people they stop who are on this horrifying level of education. What I find really sad about this particular video is that people are using it to justify stereotyping the LGBTQ+ community because they happen to be at a pride event, totally overlooking the fact that there are a lot of other videos like it out there from all kinds of places and events. Heck, even other comments here bring it up as a point when the two things are completely unrelated. So for me this one is a double reason to despair both for US citizens and for humanity.

It was only now that I noticed that she was looking at her hands before answering. She tried to multiply 9 by 3 with her fingers. (To do this, you need to place your hands in front of you and bend that finger under the number to which you need to multiply 9. Then the number of fingers in front of the bent one is tens, and after the bent one - ones) And all ot thems did it wrong :)
