Folk with foresight was talking shit then because it was obvious what it was leading to. For instance, Mobb Deep video coming on one day, I'm early teens 14, 15 maybe and Prodigy was like "this for the killers and the $100 billers, real niggas who ain't got no feelings", I was like why tf he giving them props? I knew then this shit was headed down the wrong, if I was older I would have knew when Self destruction came out, they tried to warn us. Point being the road progresses or regress. Rappers now actually killing people and rapping about it all while telling folk hard drugs are cool. It's maybe difficult to tell the difference to young folk but old heads know.
