In this thought-provoking video, renowned psychologist and author Jordan Peterson delves into the misconceptions surrounding the concept of gender equality. He challenges the commonly held belief that men and women are fundamentally the same and explains why this notion is not only inaccurate, but also potentially harmful. With his characteristic depth and clarity, Peterson provides a nuanced perspective on gender roles and highlights the importance of acknowledging and embracing the inherent differences between the sexes. This video is a must-watch for anyone interested in understanding the complexities of gender and its impact on our society.

Exactly LOL! and this is the case in most interviews he gives. Like here, the concept of equality of outcome was not fully understood and led to empty arguments.

I think in this case the problem was mostly language, with a smidgen of doctrine. Its a calm and reflected conversation, I believe they were talking a bit past each other. Everyone obviously believed that equality of opportunity was a good thing, but it can be challenging to part equality of outcome from that. Also, the focus on equality in scandinavian countries is so heacy, that I am sure a lot of people "hear" "but most girls should be nurses", when Peterson is talking. Which is not what he is saying. Statistics and data can be hard, and you have to know it to understand it. Also, its particularly hard to keep an open mind when you are talking about something that might go on accord with your own personal morals and/or beliefs.

This Swedish woman was virtually in tears because in just a few minutes Jordan Peterson completely demolished her ultra-liberal, left-wing, neo-Marxist, WOKE world view on the so-called, tyrannical, patriarchal, issue of gender inequality. She lives totally within the bubble of the most socially engineered country on the planet, Sweden, which has done everything conceivable, by law, to eliminate the differences between men, & women. Then, Jordan Peterson explains that 100% of the available research, conducted in virtually every industrialized country on the planet over the past 25 years (to include Sweden), said research executed according to the best scientific principles known to exist; *ALL* comes to the same conclusion. *MEN* & *WOMEN* are *DIFFERENT,* and no amount of social engineering, nor laws passed, nor quotas mandated; can force the average (98%) woman to choose a career path whereby she will choose to work in certain, male-dominated, jobs. The 1%-2% of women who do choose to work in those types of jobs are statistical outliers, and simply cannot be held up as an effective argument for the liberal WOKE ideology concerning gender equality. To further demolish the myth that women simply need a chance to be educated, and participate in jobs that historically have been occupied by men; he chooses two jobs that utterly destroy the liberal argument regarding gender inequality. The first job is nursing where men, at least in the United States, are often paid substantially more than women due to their superior upper body strength. Yet, statistically there are very few male nurses. In the United States the percentage is 9% of the nurses with actual nursing degrees. In Sweden, the percentage ranges from 12%-13%. In the most socially engineered country on the planet, only 3%-4% more men are *WILLING* to become nurses, than in the United States with its significantly higher number of nurses. The second job is engineering, where a man's superior upper body strength plays no role at all. Engineering is an intellectual job, not a physical job. Yet, in Sweden, only 25% of engineers are women, while in the United States the percentage is actually just slightly higher at a 28% average across all engineering fields. Both examples offered by Peterson in his rebuttal to gender inequality show that men won't willing choose to work in a profession for which they are tempermentally not suited, regardless of the pay incentives. The same thing applies to women, who are simply not tempermentally suited towards certain professions. The temperment issue completely ignores the superior upper body strength that gives even the shortest, slightest, lightest, and weakest man a distinct advantage over a woman. Which, is why it should be illegal for *ANY* biological man masquerading as a woman, to compete in women's sports. Thus far, no female teenaged athlete, once puberty sets in for both girls & boys, has been able to successfully compete against her sports peers that are males. The advanced musculature, the bone structure designed by GOD for the attachment of heavier & stronger muscles, and the testosterone flowing though a boys bloodstream make him a superior athlete when competing one-on-one against a similarly sized girl.

On the contrary, I think you’re right. Still, many other programs Jordan has been on has featured at least one person who has tried to paint him as some sort of bigot, so to those of us who know him well it shouldn’t be surprising that this interviewer might’ve seen him as a potential threat to his map of meaning. I think the same goes especially for the lady.

Its really interesting how it ends up with the woman disagreeing with him, in the sense that, what Peterson is essentially doing is explaining what these studies have presented and making a hypotesis of what this mean, but the woman has an idea on her head that just doesn't agree with that, and i get her, its really hard to try to understand people's take on things if that is contrary to what you think, really would have liked if they kept on talking instead of just ending the interview but i guess that was the time they had.

In the US, after 60+ years of feminism, fewer than 20 percent of engineers are women. That's not because engineering requires male physical strength. It's because of psychological and cultural differences. "Evolutionary psychology" today drives women as it has forever. Women instinctively choose men who can "protect and provide." Men choose attractive women. Since wages in the US have been frozen for 50 years, most men cannot adequately provide for women mates as they could in 1960. So, today, more than ever, it's the economy that's shaping our future more than other factors mentioned here.

I wonder if the way boys and girls were raised historically has something to do with the results that most men chose facts and logic. Historically they were encouraged to choose that route. Has there been a study where boys and girls were encouraged and treated the same way since childhood and then the personality test were given to see what each one was inclined to do? I'm curious because I'm a woman and I love maths and facts more than my husband. But people keep explaining that my husband is a certain way because he is more about logic which leaves both of us puzzled.

I think the differences between you and your husband are the exception not the rule. If I look at all the close friends I have had in my life and their relationships with their significant others, all in traditional heterosexual relationships, what Dr Peterson describes is the norm without a doubt. In your case I might surmise that your husband is more effeminate than the average male as one possible explanation. It's an interesting discussion regardless.
