I am just learning to put it all together. I can determine almost all items on a menu (from hearing the words from Italian relatives my whole life - I am Irish) and, I can almost read 40% of an apartment/house for sale advertisement, ask for a meal, a bathroom, a hotel, a destination, etc. I feel my general conversation sucks. I am feeling happy I found this channel!!
Benvenuta, Judit! I'm going to make a video on how to improve conversation skills. Meanwhile, please have a look at these two playlists, they could be helpful to you at this stage: Italian PHRASES for Conversation: ru-vid.com/group/PLaeKp_sNLJVy_kc3t5Q8ynAoYHDxTQoMR Italian LISTENING Practice (it contains my "Conversations" Videos): ru-vid.com/group/PLaeKp_sNLJVzAE7fuGlmoxi2dugE-dYod Buona giornata!

Grazie, Valentina. cavallo (horse); stella (star) I haven't figured out exactly where these lessons begin. I would like to learn from the very beginning and watch each video in order. I looked at the playlists but still couldn't figure it out because they are not listed by specific upload date. Can you help me with this, please?
Molto bene! 😊 I have 3 videos about the gender of nouns, and this is the first of the series. Here are the next two in the right order: -- HOW TO tell the GENDER of TRICKY -E ending words ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LT-oEC4eEPw.html --- 2 SPECIAL CASES - Gender of Nouns - These are ALWAYS FEMININE! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WaScz8jCG4M.html On this channel, I try to cover different topics, as most of my subscribers are beginners and intermediates. So there isn't a specific curriculum to follow. But I'm working on a series of beginner-friendly online workshops based on my own curriculum that I use with tutoring students. Let me know if that would be something helpful for your needs!
In Hindi, one of d official languages of India, every, yes EVERY,noun has a gender too n d verb n pronouns depend on d gender of d word in question. In Sanskrit too, the gender concept z there, however there r three genders- masculine, feminine n neutral nd here, only d nouns nd pronouns r affected not d ending verb. It's interesting how similar d concepts of sum languages r! Cara e Caro, Amica e Amico, Figlia e Figlio, Gatto e Gatta.
Yes, it's interesting and fascinating! Sanscrit is after all the mother of many languages. Even some Latin words came from Sanscrit. Latin also has an additional neutral gender, but that was lost in Italian.
Hi. Now I'm learning Italian but I don't know where to start, can you give me an opinion. I need to know the letters of the alphabet or words directly.
I'd start with the alphabet so that you get familiar with the sounds and then move to Italian words. It will make pronunciation and memorization much easier! If you haven't watched it yet, here's my video on the ITALIAN ALPHABET PRONUNCIATION: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B4aCxTWfHJI.html And here's a whole playlist on ITALIAN WORDS: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PatDtNrDLWc.html
I like fhis video but I think there shoud be a part which you explain what articles that we use for feminenand for masculin. As a beginner I have no idea about articles😊
That required another lesson. If you want to learn more about articles, I have a recorded live class available for purchase on my website, it's a 1-hour class with tons of examples and easy explanations of ALL the rules about articles in Italian. Here's the link: www.valentinastellatutor.com/register/live-class-with-valentina-stella-12march22/
If Table is masculine ( il tavolo) , then why did I hear this phrase a lot "Tutti a tavola al mangiare." Why is "Tavolo" sometimes "Tavola" Sono confuso su questo.
Un'ottima domanda! "Tavolo" is the general word for table, a table which can be used for any purpuse. E.g. "un tavolo da lavoro" - a work table, "il tavolo della cucina" = the kitchen table. In Italian, we change "tavolo" to "tavola" when the table is set up for meals. That's why we say "una tavola apparecchiata" = a set table.
Non pensavo di aver bisogno di guardarlo, tuttavia, ne è valsa la pena. È stata una recensione e un ottimo aggiornamento sulle regole del "genere". Mi piacciono gli esercizi. "il ginocchio e la lampada"
Not exactly! 😅 Colors are considered adjectives (words that describe other words) so they don't have their own gender, they change to match the gender of the noun. E.g. : una casa rossa, un cappotto rosso. "Rosa" is an exception as it always stays the same.
