No words. As far as a musical beatboxer can go, for me, nobody ever beat Gene. A perfect mix between complexity and accessibility, musicality and technicality; Gene is perfect. Promissing names such as TOJ and Roomiat come with promissing and moving routines, but for now, Gene is on another level compared to everyone else. Such moving and well structured compositions, filled with emotion and life, and with lots and lots of beautiful melodies and voice control. Definitely my second favorite beatboxer of all time, incomparable.
Jum Gadi Do you remember when the world would stop spinning And you and I would see it through together I know it’s true these moments are forever But I will always be by your side
Gene. I remember five years ago, during world champs. You used the same routines. But no hate towards that. But this, this is something what really can compare how much you’ve grind to become one of the best. Keep it up! 👌 esh
Yo gene. So i have been following through other bboy/bgirl channels for 3 yrs now, yours for about 1 solid. Your sound quality, and style has grown so much. I sit in my car almost every day trying to get that smooth musicality that you have. Keep inspiring music is life
Yo, I know this might sound like a lot of work, but I'd reaaaally love to hear the audio without reverb too. Can you maybe post another video of this without the reverb? If it's hard to do it on youtube, maybe a soundcloud upload or something and drop the link in the description?? The reverb doesn't feel right to me personally.
Well reverb aside, I still enjoyed Gene's music in this video. Hopefully, the channel will upload a version without reverb. It'd be amazing to drown in clarity
oh nice, is there a chance to get one without that effect? i mean, i don't see the point of making a studio session if you're going to make it "live", just saying tho not hate, great work anyway, esh!
Definitely one of my favorite beatboxers ... would have to say absolute top if he had a bit more heaviness in his bass (his lip-rolls also seem to lack a certain heaviness to me). I’m not sure if that’s the audio/mixing/gear at this point ... my go-to example would be his battle with Napom in 2016 (I think it was that year). If he had a punch like Mr. Wobbles, Babeli, or Napom of course ... to me, that’d be unimaginable insanity. Also ... I thought this was going to be a Michael Jackson cover, which I think there’d be no other perfect choice than for Gene to do it.
Genes style is definitely nice on the ears and enjoyable to listen to but don't downplay the skill required to do less musical things with beatboxing. Doing many sounds in a short span of time is impressive, especially if done well.
Creeper Face it's at the point where I just analyse technical instead of enjoying it but with styles like gene there's no need and it speaks for itself. I love technical when it's done right. Heliums has one some of the best I've ever heard.
