One of the hottest bands of the swing era. Doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

When people think of big band, they think of scratchy transfers and nothing as bright and hot, as these restored broadcasts. 1938-42 or so, saw some advancements in recording tech, and today they can be manipulated to have the best sound. Gives you a better idea how they sounded live, at a venue. So magical, this is a fantastic broadcast, a true treasure!

Really good sound on this. Thanks so much. Krupa is my favorite musician.

Forgot to mention, as much as I LOVE Goodman's 1936 Bugle Call Rag recording, Krupa really challenges that arrangement, with this 1940 version of his. For me, this version in this broadcast hits on all 6! Magnificent, I never tire of this broadcast.

All of the music/concert stereo videos you published, the surround sound is the same for all of what I have listened to thus far except for this one. This one sounds different from you what you hear on headphones vs stereo speakers. For example, the tempo changes a bit. Not saying that is a bad thing, it makes this vid distinct from the others.

@@ralfsiebert-ffm I also have a couple of requests for stereo vids, that includes some Cab Calloway and Al Jolson songs if that's possible.
