I was pleasantly surprised to see how much Gene is devoted to Shannon and his kids! He is like an ole homebody at home and a very interested and caring family man!!!!❤️👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Apparently he is nothing like the persona he projects to the public, just a nerdy guy who donates quietly to charity and loves poontang. Pretty normal guy other than his exceptional creativity and drive to succeed. Without Gene's vision for KISS the band wouldn't be anywhere near as outlandish and groundbreaking. I think his fascination with horror films and comic books etc was a huge influence on KISS image. He gets a lot of shit for being cocky but if I were literally Gene Simmons I would be too lol. He earned that cockiness and is at least not trying to project himself as a saint.. that alone makes him more likeable than Paul. Dude's iconic, a living legend. Even my neighbors zoomer kids know who he is and they don't even like rock music let alone classic rock.
I love Gene Simmons and KISS. I also like how Shannon lets everyone know that she is not going along with an "open relationship," although it will hurt his career as far as the women go. I would NEVER go out with another woman's man. Us women got to stick together!
I’m 31 and have never taken another woman’s man! I worked at the rock n roll bar on sunset strip while in a perfectly commented relationship too.(just showing that each woman is different even in the typical rock n roll situation.)

Shannon Tweed, even despite her age, is a beautiful woman. You can call her a gold-digger all day, but money and luxury would be poor consolation for being treated like that. A man who cheats on a woman he is in a long-term relationship with does not deserve her.
Not necessarily, she may genuinely love Gene and be very hurt and degraded by his extramarital activities but unwilling to leave because of her love for him and/or her psychological dependence on him. She would be independently wealthy herself after their reality TV show, so I doubt money is her sole motivation for staying with Gene.

She didn't know that he was really with Kiss until she went to the record store to verify it. She kids half of the time. She's a great wife and Mother. She really loves him and there is nothing wrong with liking money. She was not a gold digger. She has paid dearly to get to where they are in their relationship. Kudos to her.
well.... Gene has a taste for beautiful women so it's no wonder he choose Shannon, though he should've stopped buying other girls, strippers and so on after that... but it's quite incredible that Shannon allowed him to be unfaithful for 20 years before saying that's it and marrying him later after Gene started repairing his life-style.

Corinne M. Take a look at a UK show called 'Through the Keyhole' featuring their 'pad'. Such a potentially beautiful place until you see who lives there... then I can imagine it becoming a nightmare. The pair of them have manifested their own nightmares and seemingly live them out.

Agreed. Most people dream of living in a house like Gene's. But can you imagine the burden of getting up each morning and having to put on the 'Gene Simmons' costume to go with it ? Talk about selling your soul for rock 'n' roll... He has a room full of crappy, Kiss-memorabilia and all he seems to have learned from his life so far is how to monetise it... and its value is decreasing daily. I feel sorry for him because he knows the price of everything but the value of nothing... sorry Gene. :-(
Shannon is a nurturing person, has a beautiful heart, & “the patience of Job” to have handled a variety of issues with Gene over the years. But in the end, they have appeared to have worked it all out & that is a testament to both of them.
i'd bet you everything i have that she came to this set in her own car. When they called her out, she hardly acknowledged Gene and she left that set in her own car and i'd bet she didn't even acknowledge Gene when she left. Maybe you are right. Maybe that is their agreement.
I watched 2 episodes of family jewels- one was "it's a great day for a facelift" and the next episode. That was enough for me. Gene went to Micky O'roarkes surgeon... I can't believe that show was actually a "thing"
Ace Frehley is a damn good guitarist. Most Kiss fans know Kiss by their make up and fireworks and love them for that, but there are those fans who absolutely love their music and see the other stuff as just a theatrical bonus. Those fans are big time Ace Frehley fans. I know he is not the most technically advanced guitarist ever, but he made the guitar sound incredible, like a color field painter who is excellent without being about superdetail or technicality. His music has a ton of fanatics.
I think she knew who she was marrying and consented with his behavior to achieve a certain lifestyle. Now she’s in deep and it’s all she knows. Gene May be a user but so is she.... and that’s ok. They deserve each other
Love or hate Gene Simmons you have to admit that he's a strong man because of who his mother was! She was a holocaust survivor and when they came here to this country he could not speak English. I'm not a big kiss fan but I do admire this man and how much he loves his mother and this country!

Just because gene Simmons is of the Jewish faith doesn't mean he is greedy gene Simmons and paul stanley founded the wounded worries for all the soldiers that came home missing arms and legs broken hearts to help them get reacquainted to being back home with their families and they also help the soldiers that may have lost a leg or an arm to help pay for the soldiers to get a prosthetic arm or leg that's a lot of money to give the soldiers their life back .. it's not that I don't love kiss that I'm taking up for them that takes dedication to the real men and women who fight for our freedom as a country they're the real hero's how could someone call them greedy because of their religion

I am sorry, but I do not believe in open relationships. Maybe I am a prude, but I believe in monogamy. Shannon is a beautiful lady and deserves better. Gene is an example of why men scare me and I don't trust them. Having said that, I do appreciate his honesty before they were married. I believe that he at one point told Shannon that he would not marry her. Well, I wish that my ex-husband would have been honest and told me that before he just walked out on me without any warning after 12 years of marriage. Now, I am ruined for life and not being funny here.

To me it seems like it's all made up just to promote himself. Deep inside he is a good man, he made a good decision to marry Shannon. She's stable and beautiful, Shannon is a trophy wife and a good wife. She raised her children perfectly, great mom! He is a good businessman and always was there to provide his family. I disagree about why Ace is so respected. I am not talking about kids who think superheroes are cool. I am talking about real music lovers. Like I said, Ace is not one of the technical greats, but his playing has major aesthetic quality. I know that is a subjective matter, but a lot of people love the way his playing sounds, including lots of famous musicians who were majorly influenced by him. The rest of the band is Ace's back up band as far as I am concerned.
I don't get Shannon. She endured Gene being unfaithful for many decades only to give him an ultimatum. They got married but in their wedding vows for those who saw their wedfing, it was made clear that 'to be faithful' was not part of the vows for Gene (as it was for Shannon). Basically, nothing has really changed except the fact that he put a ring on it. I hope Shannon (whom I adore btw and God knows Gene doesn't deserve) will now somewhat feel content, but I doubt he will ever change his philandering ways.
Gene has an open relationship and he suckered Shannon into it with money and insinuations. I suspect it would be heartbreaking to learn how she feels about it all.
