TY Lisa. I Love finding more ways to use spreadsheets to help my research. And the previous Research Plan I was using was more intense; two pages, where you are using one line (not counting headers).

You spoke about using library loans to see records…I would love to know more about how that works?

I love watching your videos. I do have a small problem on working. On the family tree. And really need to find out the answers from you.

Thank-you for this talk Lisa, it was very interesting. Like many I fall down on keeping clear notes on where I am up to. Your layout is simple but effective and I like that there is not huge amounts of data entry to do. I take it that you keep a separate sheet for each research ancestor, do you then print a copy of them and keep them all together at the start of your files or do you have some type of master list. I find it hard to collate everything without getting in a mess :). How do you remember who you was researching last time or do you just stay with the one ancestor until you have exhausted all information you can find? The more I think about it the more I have brain freeze lol, thanks Jan

Oh. Those are good questions! For me organize and keep all together is a struggle, as well. I think if you want to get a big tree of your family, try to do it one person at a time is not very effective. In fact, when you are looking for some family in one area and you know three, four or more last names of cousins and you are researching for births or deaths page by page on a book which don't have index, is a good idea to try several people at once. But I'm still on the early days of my research. Just births, marriages and deaths is my goal for the next couple of months at least. It's all I can get online for my italian family.
