Dark Horizon, your friend is K.I.A, there should be no "but". This song points out everything that Tarkov brings to a human being, pain, suffer, loss, tears for fallen comrades. "but" means that something happened that was unexpected. For Tarkov this is the true opposite. The only feeling we feel while we are in this world where we were deployed in and left by our companies is sadness. The longer we stay in it the more we emphasize the sadness, it overcomes us, it becomes a extension of us. If you do not leave Tarkov as quick as you can even though it's really hard, this curse will consume you... just like it consumed everyone else. When the raid is over and you've survived, do you ever think about the people that are still there? It's the curse that got to them, now they will never want to leave, they'll stay there and wait for the right time for their misery to end. That's Tarkov.
tarkov is about a part of the world nobody wants to take responsibility for. Nobody cares about the locals that live there, the private military contractors are written off as never having worked in their pmc, never existing in the eyes of the government. those who are still surviving, are fighting for their freedom in hopes of somehow building the connections to leave and get a normal life in some third world country after changing their name that's tarkov

То чувство, когда вы вместе начинали рейд с другом, обещали что выбиретесь оба, но по итогу в ходе перестрелки твой друг умирает, ты убиваешь всех, кто перестреливался с тобой, будучи очень раненным, истекая кровью. Видя в последний раз своего друга, идёшь к выходу, не зная получится ли у тебя выбраться. Твои руки трясутся, ноги не слушаются, ты все сильнее истекаешь кровью, тебе хочется пить... Остаётся 3 минуты до выхода ты почти у цели.... Вот ты дошёл, и вышел наконец... Осознал, что потерял друга и больше ты его не увидишь ... А идя в очередном рейде, видишь крест, может кто-то тоже лежит, тот тоже терял своего боевого товарища, но тому хватило смелости похоронить его с почастями, ты остановился и вспомнил своего друга, как вы прошли много рейдов, как он прикрывал тебя всегда.... Вспоминая это невольно , ты горишь от злости и печали, тебе хочется мстить за него, а в тоже время плакать, от того что все кого ты знал давно умерли и проклинаешь себя за то, что не умер за место друга... После пару минут молчания, ты с новыми силами идёшь в рейд, надеясь на удачу выжить в завтрашнем дне...
The beat really fits this, as the beginning is slow and somber, no beats or anything, this is when you realize your friend is dead and later the beats kick in, that's the adrenaline kicking in, you having to fight.
i feel like this sounds equal parts sad and angry actually. the intensity during the middle feels almost like he's getting vengeful for his lost friend

The concept and mechanics of this game are definitely underrated, along with the selection of soundtracks and their titles to match. Only problem from making this video game the best game ever made, is the whole desync and hackers problem. I can't wait till it is resolved.
Eastern crosses have a slanted beam with the left side pointing down and the right side pointing up with the reference point being from the view of the cross, not the viewer of the cross. This symbolizes the last judgement in which Christ will have the righteous on HIS right and evil doers on HIS left. It is also in memory of the repentant thief who was crucified on Christ's right side. I'm not sure if the fact that this cross has it's slant reversed is just an oversight by the developers, or if it has some kind of purposeful meaning behind it.
