This generator will not start without carb spray and when it does start it surges really bad. These aren’t the easiest generators to work on but let’s see what we can do with it!
All you had to do is double nut the carburetor bolt and pull the bolt off, you don't have to disassemble the whole thing. I pulled the carburetor off in 10 minutes to clean the jets on this exact model

Can some one help me: there are small hoses that come out underneath the gen. I can only see where two ends connect, there is a Y shaped black plastic piece with a small hose not connected to anything. Is that a spare or has it come loose?
@@ph5937 I believe the hoses you’re referring to are nothing more than vent lines. They are there to prevent fuel being leaked on to hot surfaces if the carb needle and seat should stick.
