I remember watching the original run of this episode in my high school years.

Oh, Edward's laugh and Tracy's nervous laughter says it all.

"The only man I ever loved was you" classic GH OT, but I always loved Tracy's braids in those days

This aired on Memorial Day, 1980. So just about everybody had a chance to see this -- probably hooked a couple more fans to the show.

Jane won the emmy for these scenes. The intensity is blinding.

Edward was always Tracy’s favorite target!!! She wrapped her daddy around her finger. Edward kept her word until his death. He gave her Pickle-Lila!!!

I remember Chris Pennock(Mitch Williams) from Dark Shadows.

Pat Falken Smith was a genius on Days as well as GH.............I love watching early 80's GH!

OMG...crazy thing i actually remeber watching this episode when it 1st ran....this actor was my favotite as edward Quatermain!!!!...when edward touched tracy's shoulder n she turns around n screams....priceless!!!!

I can see why gh from 79 to 81 was so amazing. The characters were all connected in an umbrella story. Laura luke bobbie scotty tracey edward alan monica leslie & rick . I heard early carly was not so different than young Bobbie. Bobbie tried a lot of schemes to , to get scotty away from laura. Also monica calling carly a slut from what I've seen & heard had nothing on early monica. She went through 3 drs fast jeff rick & Alan & susan moore ( Jason's biological mother ) She had her own who's the daddy with aj.

Hi Cathy :). At around the 20:30 mark, you'll see that DTR assigned the date. I remember watching this when it originally aired and I believe it was the cliffhanger for the Memorial day weekend, back in the days when they still aired soaps on holidays. The first part was definitely the Friday the 23rd episode. I never bothered to double check their information, but you are correct, and thanks for that. I'll change the date in the title. Shocking. ABC screwed up. Shocking, lol.

Hi Donna. I am spending wayyy too much time "dating" episodes (since I have all of them in German). May 24, 1980 was a Saturday. Did "Daytime to Remember" give exact dates?

I really did not watch GH even though I have seen this particular scene quite a few times. How long did Tracy's character stay on the show after this disinheritance? It is evident how she and her father got along. I was curious about Tracy's relationship with her mother. Did her mother have the same perspective about her as Edward did? I certainly can see how GH put Jane Elliot on the map as a sought after actress.

The woman at the table with Bobbie is the woman Heather Weber murdered and framed Annie Logan for it by writing her name in the blood.
