Lotta Blazers fans in here that won't understand what a rebuild actually looks like. Its gunna take time, it's not gunna be very fun, and it won't happen overnight. You need to look at the bright spots and enjoys the wins when they come.

@@Boltpacalypse Just ant, yep, definitely the case. Totally don't have Oscolm, JG, DA, Rob or Tisse on the roster. lol. I think all of the vets outside of maybe DA got to go. Though DA is lethally expensive too so... probably should go. But Ant has to go, period.

He tells the players "my job is to get someone better than you." The only thing that makes sense as to why he's not applying the same to Billups is that we want Flagg or Bailey next year. But that's not it. He just doesn't demand competence from CB because he doesnt demand it of himself and neither does Jody.

Insane this dude still has a Job. Him and Jody and Chauncey have dismantled the franchise. They are completely fine with it too. Honestly sickening what they have done to the Blazers

Joe's far superior to Neil Olshey at least. But he still is terrible at his job. However at least he fits with the team when it comes to the franchise's staff from Jody down.

Dude... this is a rebuild but he is refusing to do so even after kicking Dame out. Keeping Grant, Brogdan, Ayton, is NOT THE FUTURE. Playing these vets at the expense of developing Scoot, Sharpe, Ant, Camara, and Rupert to win 5-10 more games over the course of a season is totally shortsighted and is stealing from the future of this team all just to schmooze the fans into accepting mediocrity when the only goal should be sucking right now to rebuild back younger and better for long term success. These Cronin stans are mindless.

They arent needing to win anytime in the next couple years. These vets were supposed to be traded for draft capital and recouping value in the Dame trade. Vets can be league minimum signings, not 3 guys making 20M, 30M, and 30M respectively who dont fit the future timeline. As it is they are 9M over the tax limit and 16 contracted players. And 2 of the main ones they need to move are injury prone and have a fraction of the value when aquired. JOE HAS MADE THIS ROSTER SO INFLEXIBLE. All because they wanted to be in super duper win now mode according to Cronin despite moving on from Dame and cheat the rebuilt process. @@h00liganismo1

Please give me that long list of NBA championship teams that rebuilt the team with strictly rookies and one year players.....That's right, THERE AREN'T ANY !!!!! You need a mix of players to help teach the young players.

Don't believe a word this man says, went from "we're borderline anxious to push all our chips in to win now with Dame", hollow words like that make us definitely not trust you, to "we're optimistic about where this is going", how can you be optimistic you're 9 million into the tax on a lottery team. NBA rebuilds generally only last about 3 seasons, well this is year 2 or 3, depending on who you ask, of losing seasons and we're really no closer to winning, and now the fans are supposed to accept another year where we're almost certainly going to be aiming for the lottery again?

Man, Paul Allen passing has set off the most devastating chain of events in franchise history. Jody, Neil, Joe, & Chauncey taking their turns tearing down his beloved franchise. What a nightmare.

And even Paul kept this team in playoff mediocrity, too. People forget how long he owned this franchise for, and how repetitive the cycle of "success" and rebuilds it has been since the 74 championship. The team won the chip after 4 years of existing and then from there has just... done the exact same things and routine over and over again ever since. Look through the team's history. It's just constant repetition. So technically Paul started this cycle, and kept it going until his death. Jody is continuing it, ironically, right on schedule, too. But Jody's only objective is to hold onto the team until the new TV Deal happens, then she's going to sell it. That's been blatant the whole time, and Adam Silver has publicly made comments that prove he does not like her owning the team and is requiring her to sell the team by a certain season. I believe the deadline is the 2025-26 season, which I believe is when the new TV deal happens, unfortunately. Hopefully Phil Knight will still be alive and kicking then and make the biggest offer of them all, or else I guarantee he isn't winning the bidding for ownership.

I can't even begin to read these comments because they are full of ignorant comments like yours! From people who don't realize that the NBA has the elite of the elite basketball players in the world. And that management that had 9 new players at the beginning of the year doesn't have a chance in hell to compete and win against the teams with veteran players who have played together for years... Like Boston, the Clippers, Miami, etc. The Blazers are like a pick up team in a gym against the court champions! No chance in hell of beating a long term playing together team with veteran stars. But, the focus was seeing these young players get better and gel together through the mountain of injuries that prevented them from playing with the others on the team. Ignorant people like you and so many in the comments that expect a new team with so many rookies to compete and win against the elite NBA talent is what makes reading these comments so tough. It makes me realize how many literally stupid people watch the NBA and haven't a clue to the elite talent these rookies must try to overcome on a nightly basis. Go learn the game.

We need a forward and we need to stop telling the players to lose in the 4th quarter. It's embarrassing as a fan to have the underdogs within 5 points. It's a difference of about 8 games and we simply took an L if we were up or down by 5. Ant 🐜 is essentially on the block in 25-26' for a draft pick or players. This is a horrible draft class... I'm unsure what you're doing with the pick.

The Blazers should trade Anfernee Simmions, Dalano Banton, Rayan Rupert, Shaedon Sharpe, Jabari Walker, Justin Minaya, Taze Moore, Toumani Camara, Duop Reath, Moses Brown, to the Wizards for Jordan Poole, Jared Butler, Landry Shamet, Corey Kispert, Deni Avdija, Kyle Kumza, Anthony Gill, Marvin Bagley 3, Richaun Holmes, Tristan Vukcevic Trade Malcolm Brogdon, Matisse Thybulle, Jerami Grant Robert Williams, Ibou Badji, to the Hornets for Seith Curry, Grant Williams, Aleksej Pokusevski, Davis Bertans, Nick Richards

Cronin handled the Dame trade well, tanked successfully, has a quality draft scouting squad, plenty of developing young talent, an emerging defensive coach in Chauncey Billups, room in the salary cap, and quality draft assets for trading (or keeping). He's turned a shitty detail into a promising young squad through hardassed, shrewd management. Don't buy the hype this guy is better than most GMs in the league.

COPE. NO WAY IN HELL. HE ISNT GONNA BE ABLE TO GET ANY VALUE NOW SINCE BROGDANS MEDICALS ARE TRASH AND RW3 IS HURT TOO. HE NEEDED TO GET A 1ST RD PICK FOR EACH OF THEM BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED BUT KEPT THEM BOTH AND NOW WONT GET ANY VALUE BACK.

You must be related to Cronin. Him Jody and Chauncey could be the worst trio in the league. They dismantled the franchise. They consistently have shown what they are about. Jody is fine continually tanking because she will not spend. Joe is perfect for her goals.

I would rather let Ben simmons be the GM than this dude. Hes so bad, completely messed up the whole blazers squad in the last 2 years, traded away alll the great players to bring in young picks and g league players. I was a blazers fan since beginning of Brandon roy days but after since Lilard left, they just dont even look like the real blazers team. So i stopped watching them almost completely this season. Its sad, this dude is probably the worst GM of all time, how you not gon to trade scoot? A bust player and not build around dame. Kick em to the curb.#joecroninsucks

I hope they dont try to be in super duper win now mode next year. They need to REBUILD COMPLETELY and get under the tax in offseason. There are only 4 players on this team that are untouchable (Henderson, Sharpe, Camara, Rupert). Trade Brogdan and Thybulle for ANYTHING at this point. Hopefully move on from Grant as well. POR must use picks to find the big MEN (PF and C) of the future. Ayton is still a soft player taking inefficient 2s with little to offer as a rim defender. He is most likely here next year but they gotta luck into Sarr. If not go with best player available like Buzelis and then the GSW pick (if it conveys) taking swings on bigs like Chomche, Missi, Salaun. And then get creative and trade those 2nds to move into late 1st rd and grab DaRon Holmes. If not snag Trevon Brazile with a 2nd. If POR can outta this draft with Any of these players listed ill be stoked but i dont trust Cronin whatsoever.
