It brought tears to my eyes, when Field Marshall SHFJ Manekshaw addressed his subedar's wife as 'Ma' - and it made me bristle with anger and shame at the way the Indian Govt treated him. Maybe we did not deserve a fine man like him. Thank you Lallantop for always bringing such gems on your show.

@@1saurabhd It was the book written by Lieutenant general Depinder Singh, PVSM, VSM. He was Military Assistant to Field Marshal when he was Army chief from 1969 to 1972. It primarily covers his days as Army chief and Bangladesh Liberation War

The new generation does not know about Sam Bahadur. Congress suppressed Sam’s contribution including when Field Marshal died, not a single Congress minister went to pay respect.

What a great delight to see this video . I think the who video was superbly conducted by Mr Saurab Dwivedi and both Mrs and Brig Pantkiki recapitulated the honest TIMES of the greatest Field Marshal of all time. I have been tracking Field Marshal since a long time and whenever he is renembered anywhere at any time or place , believe me as a gentleman I get a sense of pride to salute such a great SOLDIER. before 1962 war the army commanders were told in 1959 by the government to take care of chinese border but the generals failed no army unit took suitable heights and arranged defence they just ran
