He was my grandfather's classmate at Saint Stephen college Delhi 1943 batch

Bhutto and Yahya khan lost East Pakistan. He (Zia-ul-Haq) also lost siachen glacier from India in 1984. 1970-1989 and now 2008-Present is darkest period in Pakistan history due economic, defense and political blunders of dictators and selfish leaders. Ayub khan and pervez Musharraf performed bitter well than others.

After listening to this, I have just realized what is happening in current Pakistan situation (Imran and Qadri). Exactly the same situation has been created although having different intensity as far as mobilization of people is concern. A Democratic System is certainly needed and in order to strengthen the Democracy, the system must be continued for atleast 2 decades in order to give result and show her beauty. We all have to sacrifice our happiness, needs and expectations. Patience for atleast a decade is certainly needed. Salute to Gen. Raheel Shareef for his Decision.

GREAT LEADER

You tried your best to keep your country united and strong but made some strategic mistakes, for which your nation had to pay a heavy price. Radicalism in Pakistan was sown during your reign and your policy of fighting the American war in Afghanistan, proved very costly in the end for your nation. You as like your predecessors didn't allow democracy to flourish, which resulted in individuals becoming powerful than institutions. And the most tragic part was that the Pak army which you nurtured so painstakingly, didn't even bother to unravel the conspiracy behind your death. I have no doubt that CIA was behind your murder, because in any other case they would have definitely unraveled the mystery as their ambassador was also killed in the crash. And your nurtured army ditched all your assets in Afghanistan post 9/11 and again sided with the USA. Am sure you must be cursing them from up above !

I love Pak Army. Zia ul Haq was a disaster for Pakistan, he allowed thousands of Afghani to enter Pakistani, take over businesses, they became a burden on Pakistan. He killed Bhutto who told USA that Pakistan is a Muslim Bomb and Bhutto initiated the Atomic plans for Pakistan. Zia was a supporter of USA and when they did not need him anymore they got rid of him.

The person who gave a new and twisted meaning to the "Ideology of Pakistan"! The last two sentences were the most important as far as this general was concerned!🤔😣

During his reign India was bhegi bili I remember visiting indo pak border in my college days I was very anti zia but I was wrong I was against army rule & dictatorship but wrong again As Pakistani nation we are not law abiding people We need danda rule 24/7
