Goldbug was a temporary identity for Bumblebee in the Marvel Comics series during the same time period as G1 originally ran. The animators of this may have known that when Goldbug was rebuilt after having his body destroyed, he was "reborn" as Bumblebee, so the ending here shows the same thing happening.
see the episode "starscream's ghost"(or was it "a thief in the night?" ) I think, was when he tried to make a deal with unicron to be restored to physical form. the events of that involved that ep resulted in the removal of unicron's orbiting head.
Actually, the story was written well. It was condensed from five episodes to three. But I believe the intention was that Cybertron would survive the solar system going nova. Galvatron was most likely lead to believe that he could just use the Plasma Energy Chamber as a reoccurring weapon of destruction, in order to enslave the galaxy. He had no clue that he was taking part in its restoration.
damn galvatron. doesn't he realize the kind of blackhole that would develop by way of blowing up and entire solar system? He (mega/galva-tron) never was much for thinking....just a ball of mechanical rage and a total lack of impulse control.
9:25 no we wont! I remember watching the first few episodes as a kid as well as growing up watching the Beast Wars! Last year, I decided to try to see all 98 episodes (skipped the g1 film, I've seen it so many times) just before watching the Dark of the Moon and man it was something. I'll admit though, season 3 and 4 weren't really the same with out Optimus Prime (til he came back) and the rest of the crew like Rachet or Prowl. Still classic though. can't wait to play fall of cybertron though.
Season 4/The Rebirth had a lot of problems. Animation errors, introducing way too many characters at once with little time for characterization, killing off characters like Ultra Magnus, the Arielbots, and the Protectobots without any time for mourning (Yes, I believe they died when their power packs were removed, Ultra Magnus' presence in the crowd is another error), Galvatron going completely nuts, even though the Matrix of Leadership healed his mind last season, and his plan making no sense!
See now this is why I hate G1 compared to every other series. It's left on a cliff hanger, undressed fates, questionable plots. The movies and TF: Prime are so much better.
