No "Gen-2" Pokémon for 6 months? Well, I guess that's bad news for 2 of my nephews, as they're totally hooked already. Good news for me though, because it means when I finally do get my own phone & download Pokémon Go, it'll have a variety for me to catch. I've always been a big fan of Pokémon but since being critically ill (& suffering permanent complications from surgery), I've been unable to purchase & play the newer games released. The last one I got was actually one I was meant to get for Christmas ("Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity"), but unfortunately for me; I spent Christmas 2013 in a coma. Since then, I've hardly even looked at all my games ... it's like I don't have the same amount of energy & enthusiasm to play them any more. I'm still curious about Pokémon games, though. I guess it's just going to take me a while to get back to being a player. In the meantime, I encourage my nephews to play lots. =o)

Lol I had a similar dragonite experience a couple days ago. I was coming home from Pokemon hunting at the park with my family. When we were driving up the road to my street I suddenly see dragonite in my nearby list. As we drove further up the road it disappeared so I knew it must've been on the streets that are further down the road opposite side of my street. Keep in mind that this is literally right near my house this road goes up a hill and near the top is my street and a bit further down are the streets I assumed the dragonite was on. So anyways I ordered my dad to turn around and go on those streets to find this thing. I knew it was there because it slowly got closer and was soon the only thing nearby. After driving around the same few streets for a couple of minutes suddenly my dad (who is a Pokemon noob) says " oh a Pokemon popped up for me and it's weird". Me and my sisters look at his phone and it was the fracking dragonite. Then it took forever for it to appear on our....

My local library had a pokemon day. Caught some new pokemon like Jynx. My highest pokemon is a flareon named Torchwick at 1306. I don't get to play much but having some fun with it. Congrats on the Dragonite. I have a Dragonair so I'm on my way. :D

generation 2 is coming out in December of this year niantic said that it would be a huge update to the game and some most likely not all generation 2 will be added,but they also said that this could change at any given time because of all the bugs and fixes they need to do

id say catching 3 dragonites all by my house in one day was definitely my best pokemon go experience, i now have 5 dragonites

I have a feeling the reason why it took years to develop, is because they had coded all of the current gens, and they will just put the rest of the coding in for gen 2 when they are about to release it.

I was the same way when I caught my dragonite. I was in a park around midnight and people started leaving and walking down the street cause there was a rumored dragonite. I thought it was too good to be true but then sure enough there it was. My heart was racing soooooooo fast.

Lol a local amusement park (Kemah) also had a Pokémon Go themed day event where you could battle gums and do challenges to win Pikachu trophies lol

Dude! I have the same thing happened to me. We went to our Plaza and there poke stops everywhere so everyone sets down lures. And we were walking around and someone yells, "Dragonite!!!" And everyone ran to the spot where he was. I'm talking like 100-175 people! I was lucky enough to catch him myself. But dude, that us what Pokémon Go is all about!

I think Niantic should come out with these updates FAST. Like I mean, don't bundle a bunch of features and wait to release it 2 months later. I mean that whenever they are done with a feature, they can push it out to us. Because Pokemon Go is losing LOTS of people by the day, and desperately needs more features.

I think before anything else after trading they'll finally get to work on the legendaries then everything else. And I don't think gen 2 will take that long. Their team at niantic is probably gonna expand and they'll probably be able to develop the game at a faster rate. But yeah it definitely will be a while before it comes. A few months at most.

my best dragon is dragonte. i found it just the way u did. altho we had 10 people that were i groups of 2 looking for it. my group found it it, but since we were in a rural area my friend didnt have enought of pokeballs to catch it. i had only 11 pokeballs and it was so extreme. dragonite was 1364cp and i was lvl 23 when i foud it. now i have powered him up to the max 26 trainer level. now it has about 2.8k cp! my second best is only 2.1k cp

That kinda happened to me and my friend. We spent 1/2 an hour tracking a dragonite and it was 1 foot away and it despawned.

I was at level 9 and used about 30 pokeballs just to catch dragonite, it annoyed the crap out of me but i regret nothing
