Other than the impressive BuildShip platform's ease of use, one thing I appreciate is the instructor's approach to teaching. His style mimics what an average person will encounter: trial and error, and looking for a way to resolve the errors. This is the best way to learn for someone with little to no knowledge of code. Hats off man!
Great to hear that you enjoyed this :) We love hearing all feedback and making a lot more videos to cover a variety of topics in depth. If there is anything you would like us to cover, do share: buildship.com/discord Thanks.
Yeah made me think he didn’t know what he was doing, but I think that was on purpose so that people could learn. I think the whole build ship part was a bit extra though, especially when you’re going off into chatGPT to create the backend in the end anwyay, but I guess it can help the workflow. Me personally, I’d just go straight to gpt or Claude 3.5 and explain what I want
Where can we add custom CSS to the components from v0 in our next JS project? Also, while copying from v0, don't we have to copy the styles.css and layout.jsx files?
Im confused, who is the target customer? For engineers it's much faster to just write code, for PMs they might as well just ask engineers to do it. For founders this is not powerful enough to build a complete product. Is this like a project for fun?
This is for no-code/low-code users who want to build apps enabled by AI. ofcourse developers can build from scratch, but just like how boilerplates help developers build faster, this helps them get 80% of the way sooner instead of developing everything from scratch. In the future everyone can be a developer, so PMs, designers etc can build their ideas without the need to ask engineers ;)
Haha no need, creative minds are needs to generate the apps and ideas. BuildShip and generative approach to building just makes the process easy for you to build faster! With full lowcode ability to tweak the code as you would like.
