In this video we discuss the importance of weather proofing your generator. Did you know you can't run a generator outdoors in the rain?
Each year, there are reports of people running generators unsafely in their garage causing fires and or deadly carbon monoxide. Most of the time, it's because those people wanted to avoid running them in the rain and or have them get stolen.
The GenTent from www.gentent.com is a lightweight, robust and easily deployable solution that's rated up to 60+ MPH winds. that will deflect water from the sensitive electronics in your generator. This gives you the flexibility to run your generator in inclimate weather.
As of the posting of this video they're running a special on their product line goto

Coupon code is : PREPARE
Note: While GenTent did provide me with a discount on this product: I do not get paid nor make money as an affiliate of Gentent.com. My comments and or opinions are mine alone.

Great review. We have the clear and storage apron. As to protecting more of the bottom of your generator, put the apron, that came with it, along the back and side part of your generator. The two aprons will protect 90% of the bottom of the generator. It will not prevent the air cooling of the generator.

Thank you! Yes I ended up doing the same. i've never had it out in the weather but I know Champion has them make their gentents so I have faith that it'll hold up just fine.

It should hold up just fine. I have everything on the bottom covered up to the muffler, on the front and side of it. So only the muffler would get wet if raining. Which should harm it if it's running. I use the storage apron to protect the entire generator, when I set it up before a storm. This way, if we lose power, I just have to remove the storage apron and start her up. (Takes just a few minutes opposed to 30 min. to set it up everything)

Great review..I have a dometic 3000.generator.. I call them a suitcase generator..it's a inverter with the handle on top ..not a open frame . Do you know if gentent makes a cover for that style of generator..I've only seen for the open frame
