thank you all so much for listening! i'm sorry if it takes me a bit to react to your comments, there's so many of you xd song is on spotify now! open.spotify.com/album/1tLdQfRhivHbz5zkm18Qlx?si=wNIZkhnSSvKY01OyUiMEig
This really sounds like something I'd hear at a local venue, forget the song and band, but remember the mosh pit afterwards and then forget to look the band up and then forget about them
Im not gonna lie, this both slaps on its own and is a great parody. Straight up with the crowd participation section and the nearly soft-spoken intro over the drumsticks counting the band in- definitely accurate, ha. But also seriously, these lyrics SLAP; I relate to this a lot, and I’ve been listening to it on repeat because of that. There’s not a lot of songs about losing someone slowly (or fearing it) because they’re long distance, I’ll tell you that. Thanks for making this
Dude I'm so fucking excited for you. You recorded the tracks well. That's the problem I'm having is getting good recordings, sequencing, and the rest of the production processes. Good luck! You rock! @@jdAlcantara
HOLY SHIT dude i remember watching your Office midwest emo cover a while back, your video was one of the ones that inspired me to start making this kind of stuff - thank you so much for listening :D
@@Cobalt985 tbh the sound gives me more vibes of just some dudes fuckin around in a garage just doin whatever music they wanna do, and that kinda image is sweet to me
@@squiddu this was what garage bands were all about, now it's a way of saying "our music is kind of ass but it's a garage band you just don't get it!!!'
@@frankieloinandgroin Still better than the literal signed, used urinal that was submitted solely to prove the point that ANYTHING could be considered "true art" if it got approved by the rich elitists.... That is now shown in art history books AND credited to help start an entire art movement, which basically means that the guy was right. Okay, you know what. We *need* a dada subgenre for emo, rock/metal, and "hit em" (yes I'm talking about the twitter "genre") music. That would totally mix with all of those vibes. At the very least, we NEED dada hit em. Tell me that isn't a match made in heaven.
this needs to be on spotify i would absolutely die. me and my boyfriend have the same music taste like this and he’s trying to become an artist, u guys actually sound a lot alike. i think this would inspire him a lot. but this song is absolutely amazing it’s giving 2000’s rock, like the good stuff. keep it up and tell us when it’s on spotify😭😭
At first I was like “this is probably just a shitpost that won’t sound good” but when it went to the “this hall of smoke and cedar is burning up in my dreams” and it sounded SO GOOD Incredible song, on my playlist lol
@@jdAlcantara i feel like the first verse could be twice as long, also the chorus could be played twice and for a bit longer (with different lyrics in each one maybe?) also, i loved the harmony on the vocals of the second verse, they are so fun
I know very little about emo music, but i love this! I like Charmer, American Football, and (old) Fall Out Boy. But they are really pretty different from this, especially Fall Out Boy. What are some albums or bands that sound like this song?
hi there, thanks for listening! this style is mainly inspired by 2010s third wave emo, and some of my favorite bands are Marietta, mom jeans, and Modern Baseball. Marietta is probably the closest to this song specifically (and is my personal favorite), but all of the bands listed are really good. definitely check out Marietta's album "summer death", mom jeans' "best buds" and mobos "you're gonna miss it all". those guys have inspired me so much, and i hope i can be as good as them one day :>
i honestly never planned to take the midwest emo stuff very far, but if enough people want it maybe Irrefutable Lacrosse can come back for an ep or something xd
