Genesis is a simple Level 2 cadence that is very appropriate for young or beginner high school drumlines. The double stroke roll is one of the only rudiments played in this piece.

I’m perc section leader at the high school and we got a couple 8th graders with us who printed this out for their middle school endeavors. I’m so proud of them I never played shit like that back then.

the first one they just say letters of the alphebet the next one they just say vocals simlar to ones like bang (sound expressions)

second vocal is: Hey! Ha! Yo! Ya!

Yes, the first 8 counts are just the alphabet, while the last few are HEY HA YO YA! These are just meant to be place holders for whatever vocal you actually would like to come up with.
