A 2021 Genesis GV80 attempting some tough dirt hills.
Our goal is to take vehicles to their limit without breaking them, either on or off-road.
It is just the sights and sounds of the GV80 climbing: no commentary, no waiting, no cheesy music.

This makes me appreciate the marginal traction benefit I get with an all-terrain tread pattern, even a basic one and airing down unlocks some of these crossover's true capabilities. Thanks for continuing to do these short hillclimb vids.

The real problem is that all four wheels were not pulling at the same time. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if you turned off traction control.

In order to see what this car can really do it would be wonderful to see it try this with mud / dirt tires.

You know, most cars stick out like a sore thumb in nature, but this actually compliments the nature around it and I’m impressed with that immensely.

The Touareg is my standard (or mark) for these types of SUVs and this looks BETTER than the Touareg off-road! Time to see if the skill is like the Touareg ;)

Skill does NOT match the Touareg but still curious to see how this does with off-road or all-terrain tires rather than the NVH-focused road tires.

Is this the USA spec GV80 - Did you use the awd-Lock button? If its the Canada spec model, it should get Terrain-Modes that programs the e-LSD and traction control for better off-roading (mud, snow, and sand).

Was deciding this or Touareg.. Lucky went with the Touareg.. would make this climb easily in stock form with road tyres.

Its too bad that the US models do NOT have Terrain 4x4 modes or the locking rear diff....very weird decision given that Canadian models do have it!

They do have it but only in the Prestige models, this one here is the Advanced model.

YES IT NEEDS BETTER TIRES & A BETTER DRIVER PICK A DIFFERENT PATH YOU KEPT TO THE RIGHT & THE REAR TIRE WAS OFF THE GROUND 1/2 THE TIME ALSO WHY DO YOU LET OFF THE GAS 1/2 WAY UP YOU CANT DO THAT MOMENTUM IS YOUR FRIEND
