That new dual battery set up is really nice looking! Genesis did a nice job packaging all those electrical parts.

It’s a great set up for sure, a way for you to run your equipment but not worry about a dead battery

Another great vid Jerry . Very compact and sleek looking dual battery system . It was interesting at the end you talking about setting up your jeep to sleep inside it. This is what I have done . I have a sleeping platform with a drawer system underneath(rear seats removed 4-door) , all made from 3/4" plywood (a sheet of plywood is way cheaper than most tents and certainly any roof top tent or pop up roof conversion i.e.. Ursa Minor $10,500 US)...anyway I digress . I lived out of my set up for 3 months last year as you know , on my Yukon ,NWT, Alaska and northern BC safari during the summer , and it worked fantastic , I learned a lot from these trips. I have been improving things over the winter in anticipation of my next expedition-safari(north) . I do not have a dual battery system (lead acid) connected to my , or in conjunction with my starter battery. I do however now have 3000 watts of power via lithium ion batteries in this configuration ... 2-1000 watt , and 2-500 watt batteries . I have them configured this way so I can move them around , for versatility portability and convenience , and , I can , daisy chain the 1000 watts together for 2000 watts , for power, or charging , or the 2-500's for 1000 watts of charging or power at any given time depending on needs , weather cloudy periods or times I'm camped and not travelling and it's cloudy . All things I have learned from extended overland travel to remote locations , what I have learned through experience is that this should give me more than enough power and options to cover all likelihood's , running fridge , charging phone , tablet , camera , and now I'm thinking Starlink . I have added a 270 deg. awning . with walls I can zip in . Yeah every year I learn from the previous and improve for convenience ease of set up and comfort , 'cause the smallest things that are involved , set up wise can get really old fast when your out for months at a time and doing it over , and over again , the fastest most convenient wins every time. Anyway Jerry great vid as usual . Cheers Wild Bill Jeep Overland exploring the remotest regions of northern Canada , Trans Taiga baby Ohhh Yeahh !!!b

The Jeep tents are sweet but can’t justify the cost

With the GScreen you can also use it to use both batteries to start the vehicle, by pushing it and waiting a few seconds, if both have gone below the starting voltage.
@BackCountryWrenching

That is correct yes by holding the button it connects them both. The Gen 3 version is for sure way nicer

I’m not sure I’d do another swap, for the cost I could buy a used Colorado ZR2

That Gen3 looks so sick! How much damage was it with the Canadian Rupees? Are you able to open the fuse box easily? Makes me want to upgrade my Gen1 too lol..
