In 1994 when the 8970 came to New Zealand it wasted all other Tractors at Tractor pulls local ones the Machine couldn't stop it they couldn't weigth it down it was so far ahead I did 3000hr on a 1998 8970 the only issue were plugs on the back of cab which we replaced with more modern ones at the time. and cab suspension would have been good. The engine was a Iveco 7.5 maxed out to 240hp not the best idea at the time they did 4500 to 5000 hrs of hard labour then compression dropped ready for new pistons . they should have used a CAT or Cummins motor. but for the time they for were a master piece .
