Love your content. You are the only RU-vidr I know of who not only focuses on GSC but actually knows what they are talking about. Quick request - I’m a newer player who wants to play GSC as I love the models. Would you consider doing a starting an army video where you give a pathway to 2000 points based around starting with the combat patrol box? Not looking for something competitive, just a pathway that will help me and other noobs get an army together that can help us learn the faction. Not looking to play anything outside games at local stores where nobody plays GSC.
Appreciated! I tend to avoid recommending army lists as they’re personal to the player - it makes sense to them and the reasons why they bring each unit - it’s purpose and role within the army. But maybe I’ll change my mind 😝
I used to keep my Patriarch in the back early in my GSC experience until I learned he can bring a bucket full of hurt on pretty much anything he gets up close and personal to.
So the Patty locus neo combo would work but only if you also had say a truck closer than they are. I had actually done this trick in a league game and my opponent looked over the board and realized i had spread my trucks and ridgerunners out to where the neophytes were impossible to shoot at with my characters. and with how easy it is for use to spread our vehicles (i say vehicles because they are durable af) out it is highly likely you will have vehicles closer than you will the patty combo, at least until you are ready to just shred that front line right open.
Always love the videos Zara! I tried 3 very different variations of GSC with the new dex (Twisted Helix Genestealers + Patriarchs in trucks, one of just all the new stuff, another of just CORE and bodies). I've settled right now on a list that goes hard on the Industrial Weapons with Industrial Affinity and crossfire, and it's been crushing my opponents so far - though I think the real test of it will be this weekend at a local tourney. A big thing that I think you need to try and cover are our Bikers. They are so useful if you're going with a Crossfire build, as they can threaten to turn on Exposed early, and then zip around the table to provide True Exposed later.
Could you explain to me why is industrial affinity so good on shooting lists? It seems to negate your crossfire ability. I run rusted claw with my shooting list and it seems better to be able to move and shoot also without penality.
@@thermanek the key is that it lets you pick and choose which modifiers affect your attacks. So crossfire can give you +1 hit whilst you ignore any negatives or penalties for moving
@@ZaraKane Thanks, didnt know you can choose, i thought its all or nothing. Nevertheless is it still not better to be able to advance and shoot without penality? Gives you nice extra movement. Would be nice if you could combine it with hivecults actions and shooting, but like this I still dont see it better then the advanceshoot. What other myriads would you choose with it? transhuman? or fellbackshoot? advanceshoot? or automatic crossfire?
@@thermanek Rusted Claws ability dosnt work after coming in from deepstrike , or when getting out of a transport. This one does. Also you’re forgetting that this works for Rock Cutters too!
+1 for the content, +1 for the ID4 reference. Good to see you posting again Zara, and I would much prefer you took your time and got a spot you're happy with when taking the Clamavus podium to tell us grubby acolytes your thoughts. Cheers from the colony! Question: Does the Bio-Alchemist WT affect the damage increase on the Patriarch's 6s as well? I would've thought it only increased the DMG 2 to DMG 3 on the profile.
Can confirm, the pauper princes xenoprophet/reliqary + blobs of neophytes with icons + acolyte iconward is a tough combo, if they shoot at the neophytes you have a 5++ and you have 2 chances to get 6 back, ends with a scary tough blob
So in thero you could make 2 detachment wth patriacs and crapload of genestealers (900 points) and 2 kellermorph and 4 grps of neophite ? Hmm might not work but still .... ppl need to deal wth this 1 turn charge..
Good stuff. Certainly agree with you on the purestrains. I'd make the case for bikes too. I'm going to try a TH 1000pts list with 6 bikes with They Came from Below: 15 + 15 normal move turn 1...
@@ZaraKane yeah of course. You seem to have a super aggressive play style and I think that bikes would compliment that. What's not to love about smashing an enemy unit in the face with a demo charge in melee? Last time out, 58 points of bikes blew up a scrap jet turn 1 then tied up a blob of tankbusters for the whole game.
I love the reroll charges for the Cult of the 4-Armed Emperor. The security of getting that charge to succeed is keeps me from getting the buffs from Twisted Helix. If going Twisted Helix what ways are there to have more success getting there on the charge?
yeah that was one of the first things I saw, and nobody even talks about it. Mostly see BC and PP. I was going to use 20 abbrants for the 5+ invul, but it cost 4 cp. The stratagem is xenoform bionics from BC. I know you can get the invul down to a 4+, but I forget how. I think it's from an HQ that can give an aura over to the aberrants.
@@messaroundhandleit The Invulnerable aura is from the Reliquiary of Saint Tenndarc, the Pauper Princes relic, and it gives a 5+ invuln to CORE within 6"
