Daniel Bally boring in every way i’ve lived in geneva all my life and there is literally nothing to do here. You wanna go out eat with your friends it’s expensive you wanna do shopping of sh*t its expensive with 100.- (francs) you don’t even have enough to buy a whole outfit 😭. Other city in Switzerland aren’t like that neuchatel fribourg bale etc this is just not it
Geneva is very beautiful and clean, it should be visited in summer, the color of the lake is incredibly blue and green, you can go swimming, there are "les fetes de Genève" - kind of a fun city fest during a few weeks with a lot of music, street food and drinks, and fireworks on the last day. But as much as I enjoy living here, it's a very particular atmosphere, focused on career and ambitious, driven people. There is not much to do in terms of entertainment, bars and restaurants are extremely expensive, cinemas too, anything really that has to do with going out. The problem is also that we work so much (we usually come home at around 7pm) that there's not much time left to do something else, except on weekends. So if you plan on coming to live in Geneva, consider all of this and how much of your time you are willing to sacrifice for work, because the system is very demanding. You can work part-time but it's barely enough to cover the expenses, so the irony is that you'll have more free time but forget about going shopping, going to the movies, to yoga classes, even Starbucks is very expensive. The beauty of Switzerland.
I've been recently to Geneva and I absolutely loved it. It's a beautiful city with an amazing culture!! For me, Geneva felt like a big city with lots of things to offer (despite it has just 200,000 inhabitants)
@@jgat3418 first of all, what's so "weird" about "cities being beside the borders"?! It's, actually, quite common, throughout the World (in Switzerland, specifically, only Geneva, and Basel are located right on the border)!!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing the beauty of Geneva 🇨🇭❤️ Love the aerial shots. I have been to Geneva once and would definitely visit again in the future if i have the opportunity 🥹
i am honored and proud to say that I've been there to Geneve and it was really a beautiful city. and i will missed it so much..... hope to be there again someday... 😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️
Geneva has strong plusses and minuses. On one hand it is very expensive, highly bureaucratic, and hard to meet people. On the other hand, it is well organized, diverse, and the public transportation, health facilities, and schools are excellent. Makes one appreciate it more when here with a family. Some of Geneva city is really nice especially by the water. In vast other parts grey soulless buildings dominate - but get outside and into the canton and you will find rivers, forests, vineyards, hiking trails.
great video! Been to Switzerland many times, but never been to Geneva. Looks very beautiful and would love to go someday! I just can not understand how 9 people disliked this video? o.0
100% i was born in switzerland and the real look of geneva most time of the year is almost depressing. However, coming for holidays its okay :) only for 2 or 3 day, no need more than that to visit everything.
