Oh man, a counter clockwise for a reasonable price? Definitely need one of those. No link in the description? Do they have a website that can be read in English? Also can they ship to USA?
Ty for this. I think automatic and mechanical watches that are Russian made need to be showcased more to the West. I have a hard time finding out about any of them in the USA. If anyone can let me know about some well respected quality brands, please reply.
I like the counter clockwise watch, but it really feels like an exaggeration to call it a difficult complication. When you are making your own movement it should be trivial to change the direction of rotation, simply by producing all ‘directional’ parts as a mirror image of their usual design. An alternative, but less elegant approach would be to simply add one extra gear and pinion with a 1:1 ratio to the movement.
that's what's difficult, as most of the "watchmakers" just buy existing movements (most by numbers, not by importance/quality). also movement makers won't sink money into a reversed movement as their customers (aforementioned watchmakers) might not want it.
Distinct lack of enthusiasm from Marc in this video which I feel is due to the brand being Russian. It almost feels like he forced himself to film Raketa against his own will. I felt bad for the guy being interviewed.
