You are being stereotype. Just because that fat air nomad avatar is an air nomad, doesn't mean that he would just prefer using air. He could be another Korra, airbender at birth, but earthbender at nature.

Monk Gyatso wasn’t stronger or as skilled as zahere idk how to spell the names but zahere knew more about air bending and truly followed the air bendings teachings mf could fly
