You never use transmissin housing as a lifting point! Other than that, seems proceeding towards some kind of rebuild, probably. Cheers.

Great restoration ! - This car is coming along nicely :) Please for your own safety - NEVER rely on a single jack to support the car whilst you work underneath it, always support the car with additional AXLE STANDS or slide both wheels under both sides of the front sills so that way if the jack gives way or slips you don't get crushed - Best of luck with all your restorations - Stay safe and well.
