I know you're not an out-and-out tactical channel, but nonetheless I love the way you reason your tactics and show the progression stepwise, such as Trent inverting, Ibou out wide, Mo inwards and Szobo outwards. As usual my role watching your videos is to counter with Trent to midfield 😂. Trent at RB, despite inverting, is still ignoring glaring defensive vulnerabilities. Yes, maybe in direct turnovers we'll have him in midfield, but he would still go do his defending out wide where he constantly gets exposed, and we with Klopp gone we also don't get the key strength of Trent anymore where he would ping cross-field to Mané/Salah but now would instead be asked to play through Macca in the middle half-space. Yes, that's still good, but no matter how good a passer you are, finding Macca in the half-space on a turnover is both harder and more risky as opposed to passing deep into space as is Trent's specialty. Indeed, Trent was dropped by England and got plenty stick for his performances, but in my genuinely honest opinion, what we saw from him against especially Serbia is exactly what we should want from him and build our team around. It's a project, and kind of risky, but there exists a world-class defensive deep-lying playmaker ala Kroos in Trent, while I would argue there isn't a future full-back in there. Also consider Bradley. Essentially, weigh Bradley to Szobo. Ofc, Szobo was expensive, is internationally acclaimed and deserve a lot of trust. But considering only his output to the team, you are essentially playing him only for his ability to run wide and occupy space Salah leaves behind. Doesn't this sound like someone else? Indeed, Bradley would absolutely thrive. There's a link I want to emphasize: consider a Bradley vs. a Geertruida. Actually, they are more similar than you might think. Both are primarily tenacious and physical, and both are fast. Bradley plays advanced roles for Northern Ireland and is an excellent ball-winner, much similar to Geertruida at Feyenoord. Also, Geertruida got a lot of goals coming from surging runs from deep, again, sound like someone else? Indeed, Bradley is a "dark horse" goal-scorer that we want in a special role. As I see it, Bradley is the absolute perfect guy to invert. You don't need the inverted player to be a playmaker, just like Geertruida doesn't play-make for Feyenoord, nor do DM anchors ala Fabinho neither. You just want the numerical superiority, that's all. This is the key point of Slot's inverted full-back, and just his defenders in general, is that they *have to be excellent defenders*. Trent is, simply, not an excellent defender, and has himself proclaimed he is now studying the game of guys like Pirlo and Kroos. To me, it's a no-brainer. I think this is definitely how we’re gonna play this year. Can’t wait for our first preseason game. As far as Liverpool kits to collect, try to get your hands on a “silver surfer” Allison Kit. It’s one of the coolest ways to commemorate the legendary Barca game.

For DM maybe consider how Slot used Wieffer at Feyenoord. Pretty sure he was more of DLP. Part of me wonders if there is a world in which he plays Trent there.

Slot doesn’t have a rigid system, he is all about playing through the press with third man runs and creating overloads, if you look at his coaching sessions he implements a lot of 7 vs 6 drills Playing through the press making the most of the extra man, full backs start from deep and two midfielders start from deep behind the first line of pressure shadowing, very similar to de zerbi

Arne Slot choosed wiefer as cdm because he could dribble and move like a cm and sweep like a cdm with those long legs of him in addition to that wiefer had the technical ability and composer to dictate a game . That's the reason bajectic will be the main contender but won't start more games than endo this season due to last year injury crisis . Don't get me wrong endo is a dream pl player but u are bigging up a bit more because he has slowed our game in many cases and can't dribble and press resistance like bajectic. Keep up the good work .
