"Ripley" is an American neo-noir psychological thriller television series based on Patricia Highsmith's 1955 crime novel "The Talented Mr. Ripley." This eight-episode limited series was created, written, and directed by Steven Zaillian, marking the first time Highsmith's novel has been adapted into a television series. The series introduces some creative changes that distinguish it from previous adaptations in style and approach.
The cast includes Andrew Scott, Dakota Fanning, Johnny Flynn, Eliot Sumner, Margherita Buy, and Maurizio Lombardi. "Ripley" is directed by Steven Zaillian, with Steven Zaillian, Garrett Basch, Clayton Townsend, Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner, Sharon Levy, and Philipp Keel serving as producers. The screenplay is also by Steven Zaillian.
