This is NOT true! Old tires have almost completely off gassed all VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) and are completely safe and harmless to use inside your home, tire shreds and recycled tires are used on playgrounds and numerous other places. ❤️

I made a tire ottoman. They are so sturdy. One thing you need to be very aware of is the strength of the fire. Don’t get one that has had a blowout. I had to reinforce mine with 2x4’s. There is info online that tells you how to read the numbers on the tire. That way you don’t have to do all the math yourself.
