She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAC.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.

He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.

He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.

It's really hard to understand why the zoo can't be bothered to do a yearly, or every two years, overhaul of the gorillas equipment, and do a spring cleaning at the same time! Especially as the Japanese are so like "zen" as people! There has to be a specific cause... 🤔 I think the same equipment has been up since they moved in, 2015 (was it?).

It was good to see genki and momotaro sitting in the straw box,and both staying,maybe theirs an mutual.agreement between the both!Kinny still.likes to cling on to.genki,and play with gentaro,who tried to push kinny off the bar,but kinny manage to hang on by a rope,and push himself back on the bar!

I think the zoo need to step in now and maybe distance Genki and Kintaro for a while because Kintaro is still acting like he is one year old and its not fair on Genki. Look at Riki for example in the Haoko troop, he is only a year older that Kintaro but you would think he is several years older

Kin is still a baby he needs his mom some gorillas nurse up to 5 years old it isn’t fair to judge and mother gorillas are smart if genki didn’t want kin near she will let him know people need to realize these are not humans even though they may act like it sometimes Also mother gorillas only have babies once every 4 to 6 years depending. Genki in my opinion is to old to have another baby this isn’t a breeding farm they should not be forced to have a baby for your amusement

ゲンタロウやキンタロウは小ぶりです。健康上は問題ありません。 たぶんですが、13歳ぐらいにはゲンタロウはシルバーバックになるでしょう。

同じくこの2年くらいで急激に身体付きが変わってくるような気がしてます ゲンタロウも大人になると嬉しいようでなんか寂しい気持ちもありますね いずれ今のファミリーから巣立っていくんですね😭

@@gorillack_japan 課題は巣立つにしろ、どこに行くのかですね。 パートナーになれるのはアニーしかいませんが、必ずしもアニーとパートナーになれるわけではありません。日本国内では、海外と異なり、動物園を束ねる団体が存在しません。つまり、動物園同士の話し合いになります。そうなると、簡単にうちのゴリラとそちらのゴリラをパートナーにしましょう！とはならないのです。なかなか難しい問題です。 となると、ゲンタロウはどこに行くのか？海外から若いメスゴリラが来ないなら、アニーとは一緒になれないのなら、、、、。 ｐｓ ハオコ家族のコモモもすでに結婚適齢期ですが、相手がいません。千葉のモンタとかいいと思いますが、そういう話が出てきません。これは、先ほども説明したように、ゴリラの所属先が違いからでしょう。 東山のキヨマサは相手となる候補が一頭もいません。どうなる日本のゴリラ達？？？
