I just want to sit down and have a chat with Gennady. About his career, the knockouts, the unfair decisions. Feel like boxing hasn't treated this man with enough respect, despite what he's done for the sport. His two fights with Canelo were the the best fights of 2017 & 2018 and brought many new fans to boxing, despite the questionable decisions. And he's just a good person in general, little trash talk, very humble, a good role model for future generations of boxing athletes to look up to. It'll be a sad day for all of us when Triple G decides to hang up the gloves.

He could fight the Saunders-Andrade Winner or Murata in Tokio or the WSSB Tournament Winner at 168. He should not end his career with that L in his record,that would hurt his Legend.

Watched the fight several times now, not only because I'm a fan of both fighters, but I loved the type of fight that played out. Such a high-level display of boxing. I still see GGG 116-112. Canelo was effective, but looking at it one round at a time, I thought GGG played tall and controlled with his jab, while also boxing well off his back foot. Out landed Canelo in jabs almost every round and was mostly even in power shots each round as well (though Canelo had a few more each round). It is what it is though. GGG had an incredible run. Let's see what Canelo does at 160 now.
James Gregory I had Golovkin by 2 rounds because of his stiff jab he constantly hit Canelo with! The punch stats show Gennady did enough, I was always told u must rip the champs belts off them to win or if it's very close the champ gets the nod!? Obviously not against Canelo in Vegas eh!😔😡

With GBP in control, there was no way GGG was leaving with his titles if it went to a decision. Not a chance Oscar would allow BHop's record to be broken by GGG. It was a Vegas decision and the house fighter gets the decision. This will be a part of the GGG legacy, which shows how great of a boxer he is wherein the powers that be were the only way to stop him (and akin to the Leonard Hagler fight, people will remember who actually deserved their place as victor).

Canelo is the type of guy who has that iron chin, Ggg should've mixed it up and it was his mistake in both fights, it made it look harder than it was... When he hurt canelo, he was expecting follow up headshot and he would Bob and weave by instinct, that's where ggg had to go body and uppercuts, or double up to the body.. If canelo doesn't go down with that, he would still be fucked because he wouldn't be able to use that waist movement if he's hurt in the body.
