Yeah I would love to see him destroy 160 pounders in 2008-2014 like Felix Sturm, Arthur Abraham, Edison Miranda, Kelly Pavlik, Dmitry Pirog, Jermaine Taylor, Chavez Jr., Hassn N'Dam, Andy Lee, Chris Eubank Jr., Peter Quillin, Sergio Martinez, if he was able to fight these guys he would've been one of the greatest middleweights like Carlos Monzon or Marvin Hagler.

I’m sorry but no version of GGG could have best Ward and that’s why GGG avoided the fight. Ward is just too Dynamic and good at making in fight adjustments. He can box beautiful at range or smother and maul with the best of them. Pick your poison.

Wow even with sparring gloves on, GGG is so much faster here than he's been lately. Definitely, definitely pushing his punches now, compared to the snappy shots you see here. Also, much higher work rate here, just the little things. More feints, more angles, more variety, more energy, all at a faster pace. GGG is definitely old. Very disappointed he was ducked so much in his prime.

Jumping back on my GGG nostalgia days here. The skill disparity between these two was never really in question. What was interesting to me though is how GGG was the stronger guy up close too, which is where you’d expect Chávez to have his success. Much tighter guard and subtle head movement too.

Guys this is high class boxing right here if you notice when Chavez tries to get aggressive , all GGG does is just angles to the right or left and as soon as he angles to the left Chavez throws a right and GGG counters it. You would also notice how some of GGG’s shots look powerless and short theses short punches overwhelms Chavez forcing him to throw under-pressure

I can see why Mayweater calls GGG "no special effects". Yes, GGG doesn't have any special effects or tricks, he doesn't need any. He is simply so much better than anyone in simple things like toe-to-toe punch exchange that no tricks are needed. Even without his power, he would still outbox and out-land any on his opponents.

Why? GGG is a heavy puncher not canelo. He couldnt drop cotto, or angulo lighter guys than chavez. Chavez will walk through his punches like a train

I'm just saying taking all those punches is going wear him out and get hurt and canelo is a combo puncher he's going to take advantage of that... look GGG landed 329 punches Chavez only 71 and the punches he was throwing didn't look like GGG was bothered by them.... and once again I know it's only sparring but I would thinking Chavez would at least try a little harder to see if he's technic is going to work against canelo

Pobre Jr no puedo hacer nada, pero para aplaudir el grand trabajo de GGG en la corta, media y larga distancia, cambiando de dirección, buen trabajo defensivo, buenas combinaciones, es alguien que si se dedica a boxear y no a estar hablando

El gran problema del Jr. siempre fue su nula preparación física. Desde el primer ronda ya esta contra las cuerdas sin tirar golpes. Tenía muchas.cualudades...

Es impresionante que en ningun round llegara a los 20 golpes barbaro... 329 vs miserables 71 golpes .. pelea mejor mi costal ..

Carlos Corona Nel, ni golovkin le esta pegando tan fuerte. Esto es tomado como debe ser un entrenamiento para saber que le falta a cada uno. Tambien Chavez en ese tiempo no tomaba tan encerio el boxeo. Si estuviera con Beristain en ese momento, Don Nacho estaria corrigiendo y no dejaria que estuviera tan cerca.

Darth Vader si pero sea lo que sea es obvio que Chavez jr esta calando a golovkin talvez golovkin tambien este dandole suave pero nomas se estan calando muchos creen que Chavez esta en este video dandole con todo y sin poder conectar que... esto fue ase unos 6 años
