I switched my foresail over to the 150 Genoa and took Dog Years out for a cruise. The winds were under 10 kts but I was still getting pretty good speed - Genoa only, wing-on-wing, and close hauled. Grand Bahama - March 5th, 2023
What a dream sail ! At 0:26 do you have both the main preventer in addition to the pole on the Genoa ? I’m thinking to add a main preventer same as your setup. Cheers mate ! Keep on sailing
Yes. I almost always use the preventer when going downwind. Why not? With setup I use, you simply pull on the purple line and it engages the cabin top cleat. And yes, whisker pole as well. I was heading downwind for about an hour and I wanted to set what I could get out of the 150 with light winds (about 5 apparent downwind). Fun sail!
