All ref calls or no calls decide games, duh. If you carefully watch the replay you see the UCONN player threw an elbow on the screen. If she didn’t throw the elbow odds are the ref doesn’t blow the whistle. It was UNDER the players control. No thrown elbow and NO call, completely under UCONN control. If you whine about one play, you can actually go they the entire game and find several plays, that if either team made the shot, the outcome could have been different. So it’s an illogical comment regarding this one call. What you are advocating is that toward the end of the game, the refs let the players foul. Fouling itself will determine the outcome of the game, and in doing so, not calling fouls determines the game. Players making or not making plays determines the outcome and so does fouling. The refs need to do their job, we can’t have a free for all…but I guess that’s what you want. It looked to me that Caitlin is fighting off a cold, hence her off night. Of course UCONN had a great defense, but CC did have several good looks in the first half and just missed. CC making 2, 3 or 4 threes in the first half, UCONN is blown out. Either way, UCONN and their great coach have plenty of championships. Time for some new women on the block to win! Go Hawks!
