The shipping issue is not a genshin fandom problem I would say it's even less than the other fandoms tbh, it's not a new thing either. There are some relationships I like personally but most of the ppl who argue over this are just chronically onlines

Bro i hope you knew the full story about shirakamii, the real reason why he got arrested is because he didnt payed taxes of his income from making nsfw work, and its a HUGE amounts of money that he tried to escape taxing while attenpt to transfered it into his chinese bank account directly. In any country doing the same thing will get youself arrest anyway. Even,,, well, especially in the us, IRS will chase your ass down if you cant explain the same amount of income is coming inlegitimately. And avoid taxing is like getting a free ticket to the jail.😂

As a player of GI for almost a year (played back April 2022), I am genuinely surprised about the things that happened between Hoyoverse and Genshin before I started playing. From the infamous 1 yr Anniversary of Genshin (came to known this thru diff sources, whether through my friends in game or even thru CCs like Mujin and Akashot to name a few) to its controversial sponsorships that came in dangerous to public safety and VAs getting hate because of Genshin's lack of cultural appropriation and committing crimes because of leaked content due to poor security. I watched this before I watched your reactions regarding this video, and what the video had made and what you made as well, are fair and justified points that existed up until this day. This has been a continuous problem of Genshin (maybe some of these resolved, but some aren't and have been a problem until today) To all newbies players and CCs in Genshin Impact, I can give this as an advice, take it, whether it may be good or bad: - Know your boundaries, literally. From how much you spend your time in the game, to its gacha system or how much you're going to spend (because literally every new characters have reruns, if you do not get the characters that you want, there's always next time), and especially to the toxicity of Genshin fandom. Take your time in enjoying the game, but know your limits at the same time, mentally and financially, as well. Because this can go a long way when you are caught up in the stories as well. If you can't finish it, it's fine, no pressure about it, and don't force yourself to it if you really can't (because of burnouts and stress on Abyss as a few instance). - Also, keep in mind of this as well: Do not lose a grip on reality for something that is a video game. For instance, I have seen a lot of ppl talking bad about a high profile in CN government that died and the livestream in Genshin were postponed because of it. A lot of ppl were demanding for freemogems when this scenario has been like this in Genshin when someone died: They do not give freemogems on something like postponing a livestream when we know either it is a developer's stream that time or it was a pre-recorded one, or even not having the decency and understanding to someone who's died. In my opinion, that's immoral to an extent and that's embarrassing. That's where I draw the line on the toxic nature of the Genshin fandom, not only they do be aggressive on character ships and also on tierlistings of other players when everyone is entitled to their own tier-list but also on something like this. We all know by now that the game is made in China and a lot of geopolitical tensions around the country (won't be mentioning much abt it) but please, like everyone else, they're also people, they live and they die and we gotta respect what Hoyoverse would have to go through between the lines of China and its regulations and policies and the ever increasing number of players in the Global community.

I'm gonna be honest, the original video was fearmongering and badly researched. Sensationalizing mundane things and comparing them to real world consequences of online communities and incels.

Honestly I really don't care...every Fandom community out there is full of toxic trolls.

Like its basically: people behave like shit. This is not exclusive to a gaming community tho. xd

This is my personal opinion, I do not care about all that happened and perhaps what is still happening! I started playing Genshin since the beginning in October 2020.....I just play to enjoy the game which is graphically beautiful and to relieve stress. The only thing that makes me sad is when I get automatically quests add to my list and especially the one that I do not wish to do! Also I did not like that event that obliged you to play the "TCG" to be able to play the quests. There are things that I try to avoid because I do not like ......but lately I was surprised being stuck on the final boss doing the story of the Narzissenkreuz ....and I was stuck there unless I could kill it! Well I would have liked to leave and try it again and be prepared for it, it was so sudden that I had no idea of what to do! I thought that Genshin finally won me and I had to find another game me, being trapped down there with that big boss and not a chance to leave! Anyway I am still playing this game....till when, truly I do not know, but I start to get tired and also a bit bored.

Wow ok some of the things they mentioned like problems with big events and many fans causing problems in safety.. they are not limited to the genshin community. Idk like you said if you run an event like that better prepare accordingly. Its not specific to the genshin community to cause trouble like this xd like see everytime a new iPhone gets released. soooo

just the voice actor of dori and kokomi getting harassed is enough. the game's wider community is toxic. not everyone, but enough for me to generalize everyone i meet and be cautious about them. honestly, i feel like this stems from the parasocial aspects of the community. its like the kpop fandom or other ship fandoms. u dont see this much drama from otehr games, also not to this extent. i dont see this shit happening on overwatch because "they culturally appropriated x character because x character's voice actor is x ethnicity and x character's outfit is wrong and innapropriate and x character's name isnt pronounced thats way, stop being racist". if this shit happened in league, you'd get laughed at for being a "snowflake" and mass reported by your team just to fuck with you. the thing that clinches for it for me is the recent "dr ratio drama". genshin super fans just cant handle it so much that they try to defend it with outlandish claims instead of being happy about it. idk about you, but if overwatch gave a new skin, my first instinct isnt "oh its free its probably bad and theyre losing money lololol stay dead genshin on top!" like bruh. everytime i see other games give away free shit im happy for the playerbase of that game, idk whats wrong with genshin player's minds dude. its actually so funny how mad they are about the free limited five star hsr is getting, the amount of hate i feel from them gives me so much happiness is unhealthy.

Hoyo OBVIOUSLY wants leaks to keep happening... it's probably 30% of why most players don't drop the game completely... they see something they want coming ahead so they stick around. Hoyo is a MULTI MULTI BILLION dollar company could easily stop the leaks ( at least these big ones that happens EVERY SINGLE Year that leaks pretty much every single upcoming character at once) Having that said... someone's gotta be REALLY REALLY dumb to mess with hoyo a multi billion dollar company just to fetch some online views..
