In co-op tho, she's probably the best healer for Hu Tao since she heals only in small range and her burst only heals with her normal attacks so you can just use a couple of time and wait for the burst to go out. It also buffs her jello so you can just let the jello take care of it if you can.

Said characters became sought after because new: strategies were discovered (kazuha double element swirl / self infusion) Indirect buffs (albedo new geo set / def boosting support gurou) More favourable abyss matchup (old abyss floor 12 being a lot more enemies vs now having a lot more world bosses) With the info available at the time yhe banner was available it was mot worth the pull for performance. Isn't it reasonable for people that like the character for design alone to consider pulling for them once they get indirectly buffed

Its one thing to like kokomi on release pre buffs. But expecting to be capable of dealing dmg is not "stupid" its what her kit is about. She does extra damage based on her hp/healing not utility , stat sharing like other characters. Even her constellations are designed around improving her damage

People were so pressed about her crit rate like "oh she's going to need a lot of crit rate to crit? She isn't good."

@@neyo231 tbh i think mhy’s goal for her was to be able to fulfill multiple roles on your team: healer, hydro applicator, subdps depending on build and who she’s used with, and maybe even replace a shielder. For me she satisfies all of these roles, like even with no shielder (still trying to get zhongli) I can tank azdaha’s hits head first. they were also prob experimenting with her by introducing a new element to the game which makes sense bc they also implemented corrosion from wolves. and they released OHC right after so I’m pretty sure they already had in mind what to do with her excessive healing. She’s fine also without it though, I have a friend who uses diff artifacts and their kokomi is still kind of insane which made me want to change my koko’s artifacts for fun.. but resin I also gave it some thought just now and I think it makes sense that the rest of her kit increases her damage (maybe?). Her jellyfish can already heal insanely well. Her burst does its job but it could be stronger in both healing and dmg. So, most of her cons raise the healing and subsequently the damage output of her burst, healing her teammates simultaneously even faster while dealing damage so it’s not too much dps loss. Though I do think it’s excessive and too centered around her burst and increasing her damage like you said, I have a feeling her cons are mostly for ppl who actually intend on building her as a dps/subdps. In the end she’s still a healer (damage is just a bonus) and getting her cons just make her fulfill those roles I mentioned even better, specifically subdps, considering she already excels at the other fields. (Not that I’m going to get her cons, she’s fine enough for me already) I don’t think they would give her a skill like benny’s that increases dmg- that would be too broken for mhy lol they still want you to pull on other banners 🤣 I’m just trying to rationalize how they designed her kit as a well-rounded healer in mind. Idrk what else they could have changed to her kit without making her too similar to other characters we have already tbh. This was a mess and kinda long sorry

I had no expectations for her damage, but couldn't believe her healing kit was so awful. Her Q is essentially Barbara's E. Yes, the jellyfish can heal well and is one of the few ways to heal anyone without hitting something (the lifesteal healers all have the issue of "if there's no target, you ain't getting healed) but still... add in that she has -100 crit rate and I honestly don't know what Mihoyo was thinking. Mind you, I've played with some good fish, but man, if you get a bad fish they are *bad.* It's hard to screw up healing that badly but somehow they manage it. An undergeared low-level Barbara would do better just dropping their cat on their keyboard.

Kokomi is the most underrated character in the game , she the only character that have off field AoE hydro application with 100% uptime and hydro is the best element , she can buff your teammates by 68% by using tenacity set and TTDS books , she is unkillable tank with her massive HP and massive heals making her best driver for sub DPS like beidou and xiangling , she is very good sub DPS with the clam set . There's a reason why she have very high usage rate in abyss

No.. it shows the usage rate out of people that have them I'm not saying that kokomi is underrated but she's not overrated. She's mid in terms of popularity but she's the most hated character

@@kingdoom5022 also her e doesn't have 100% uptime, xingqiu has more uptime because with enough er he has his burst up all or most of the time. And kokomi is meant to be a main dps pure healer, not a sub dps. She's the best hydro dps she ain't just a sub dps

@@g1rlfromn0wh3r3 Ocean Hued Clam gives her a chance to have a physical/sub DPS role while being an off-field Hydro DPS as her main role. The difference between Kokomi and Xingqui is very big to be honest. Yeah Xingqui is technically the better one. But he is energy/burst dependent, and yes high ER (200-250%) fixed this issue and Sacrificial Sword for his skill cooldown. Xingqui depends on ER weapon, meanwhile Kokomi depends on free weapon. Some might think negative Crit on Kokomi is the terrible aspect of her, this is also the reason why it's easier to build her instead. Crit Artifacts are harder to get than HP artifacts. But I guess, for Pyro main DPS, Xingqui is the better support, meanwhile for Freeze team, Kokomi. Taser team works well for EM build Kokomi. Meanwhile for Hydro DPS role, I think Childe is better (or maybe not).

His bis isnt sacrificial anymore its the dps sword that fits with his team. Also none of the kokomi teams you mentioned are her peak potential except for ganyu ayaka venti kokomi freeze . Kokomi performs worse than 4 star options in taser comps. Also xingqiu functions in loads more than just pyro driven teams

Yes, Kokomi is no longer underrated, but you gotta give it to her since she was called underwhelming for weeks after her release. Kokomi only has one of the highest abyss usage because everyone who has her (which is a small minority) uses her. (in 2.3) Only 25% of players own Kokomi, who has a 67% usage rate. Compare that to someone like Kazuha, who has a notably higher 46% ownership rate "Just wanna make you smart" makes you sound like an asshole. Learn to keep your mouth shut if you don't have anything nice to say

I dont know if shes underrated. Id say... loved by somr amd hated by others. Kokomi is really good, especially if you want second hydro applicator and healer on one. Plus powerful healer Id say sje would be on the thitd spot from inazuma, behind ayaka and kazuha (at least basing from usefulness)

She didnt have the tools to function properly on release. Her signature artifact set only came out much later and her strongest team was also much later and is extremely difficult to pull off (sukkokomon). We love seeing kokomi thrive now tho

Raiden is just a support. Electro isn't that great, hydro is the best element Kazuha is the best character but kokomi is still kinda better because she can heal to be alive Kokomj is a better dps than yae

Raiden is good support/dps hybrid, if u use electro reactions or are having issues with er. Kokomi is a healer - would say, good healer and i want her personally but id say, if u dont need a healer asap would skip and get her next time. Yae, we dont know yet, but i guess shell be dps, also from leaks sje can add thongs that deal dmg But If u dont have a cc character yet, or especially if u use elemental reaction team that woild benefit from more constant element application i will say kazuha. Generally my main team always have kazuha. And in abyss kazuha makes any of my reaction teams work much better Yeah id save for kazuha if anything, since hes unique. Then raiden since shes good too, esp if u have an electro team... or if u have eula. In that situation raifem cam be used like xinqui, just for background electro instead of hydro
