Tartaglia is his Fatui Harbinger name (based on the names of the Commedia De'll Arte stock characters). Childe is his codename. Ajax is his real name.

As a Keqing main, Ken describing Keqing’s playstyle as “Zipping all around and stabby stab” describes her gameplay perfectly and that’s why I enjoy her. Her attacks, skill and burst are so fast paced and it’s so fun to blink around the battlefield or above the enemies 😂

Despite the fact that he was pretty bad gameplay wise when he was first put into the game (mostly because his element was hot garbage) Zhongli has since become one of the most used units for a massive amount of the playerbase. His shielding is incredibly powerful and completely changes the way you play the game since taking damage becomes far less of a concern with him in the party. He became so strong in-fact that he basically invalidated all of the healers in the game for a good chunk of time. The devs eventually had to start adding enemies that damaged through shields or buffed themselves if you had a shield equipped just to try and balance things out a bit more. Despite that he's still standing tall as one of the best characters in the game, and will probably hold that position all the way to the end.

Time for character background and some description on what words were mentioned about some of the characters, Zhongli having the biggest description FOR SURE. --Childe, who's Fatui Harbinger name is Tartaglia, the cocky muscle-head bastard who works for the bad guys, the Fatui, which is an antagonist faction ruled by the Tsarista, the Archon of Cryo, Childe is the youngest of the 11 Fatui Harbingers, being the weakest and yet fully capable of immense power (and summoning water whales to fight with), he has money that would shock a trillionaire, and is far too casual with his enemies. --Keqing, she seems to strongly believe in humans doing their own work, instead of letting Adepti and Archons do all the work for them, she often works with daily life affairs in the city of Liyue as the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, her elemental burst is always fun to see, probably because of the similarity that it shares with Vergil's judgement cuts, honestly not much to say about her, has a strict job that involves watching over the city of Liyue's land, livelihood management, construction and real estate and disagrees with having Adepti and Archons rule forever over the city of Liyue. --Zhongli, who's past will be revealed right here and now. He's the Archon of Geo, a godslayer and also the OLDEST known archon, for the Shogun Raiden, the Archon of Electro, he made islands simply because he was fighting a massive sea god with gargantuan rock lances, his Archon/God name being Morax, god of contracts, ruling over the whole of Liyue, he was also the creator of the currency used in Genshin Impact, Mora, meaning he could effectively make money infinitely (he forgets to do that after letting his Archon powers taken through the "contract to end all contracts" that he made so now he's broke just like the Archon of Anemo, Venti), he also has another name that he was referred to more than his Morax name, Rex Lapis, this name used in great respect to Morax. He is the 2nd surviving member of the original seven Archons, being well-over 6,000 years old. He for now disguises himself as a mortal named Zhongli, often enjoying a cup of tea while hearing from storytellers about Morax/Rex Lapis's great feats (Must be amusing to listen to your own stories, false or not).

Yeah, Keqing has the misfortune of being compared to stronger story characters in this line up😅

Tartaglia is like his Government name, Childe is his codename/nickname becuase he is a member of the Fatui Harbinger group, it has 11 members and childe is one of them.

Zhongli is narratively my favorite character. Also gameplay wise he is absolutely broken. He is used for his shield and his shield only. But Genshin Impact released enemies that counter shield almost specifically because of him

For anyone wondering and for the brought up question about Childe's name: Every character brought up in a trailer is what their known as, but since Tartaglia is an acception due to being a Fatui Harbinger he is known as Tartaglia for since his real name doesn't strike fear into the hearts of his enemies. He prefers to be called by his actual name "Childe" by people that he's either close with or trusts. Sorry for the long paragraph ❤

The strongest characters according to me (an endgame player, who has all 3 characters built very well) I would rank the 3 characters as such: 1] Childe. I generally enjoy his gameplay a lot more than Keqing's. He deals insane amounts of dmg in his teams. Only downside being, he literally has 2 good teams but they're probably the best teams in the game since his release in 1.1 and his skill cooldown is hard to manage for most players. Its very hard to time and if you stay in his melee stance for too long, your cooldowns basically just dont match up with other party members. 2] Keqing. Her teams are pretty straight forward to play and enjoy. Her gameplay is mostly focus on her spamming bursts and being quick-swappy. Pretty good electro carry in dendro teams. 3] Zhongli. Pretty much a comfort pick. His shield is the strongest, invalidating most healers in the game. His gameplay is just holding your skill and switching out and you become immortal for 20secs. Generally in the hardest end game content (spiral abyss) healers and shielders arent needed. You just need dmg. So in most of the teams, he is a DPS loss. But if you dont care about beating hard stuff, he's probably number one among the three due to his versatility. He can basically be slotted into ANY team. Also most midgame players and casual players would value comfort over anything else.

Other players wouldn't like Tartaglia's playstyle due to his CD in E skill that would switch into his melee stance because the longer you are in melee stance, the longer the CD. Me before when I got him I got confuse as well but playing him for a long time and I can get a grasp on how to manage his playstyle and for me it's fun to play with and from that moment then, I main him and never let him out in my party since then. What I like the most of Tartaglia is because of his burst has two types on it.

Zhongli is the Geo Archon (God) and over 5000 Years old ....He is one of my absolut favorite Characteres in the Game ^^

While it obviously isn't his name any more than Tartaglia is anybody's real name (it's the name of one of the stock characters from Italian commedia dell'arte; the Harbingers all use similar aliases and this choice of source tells you a lot about how they as a group view their works), Childe would prefer we called him that: he compartmentalizes his life and prefers to reserve his real name for being entirely off the job. (Meaning at home with family; I'll consider mixing his real name into comments should I ever be able to take him up on the invitation to visit his home.) He's hardly the only character who goes by multiple names, although he's unusually young in this setting to have already picked up extra ones. It's kind of ironic that out of all the Harbingers, the one most likely to look for a fight is arguably the least dangerous one once in that fight... but it makes sense. He's usually in it for the fight and experience points more than the victory, and is better off not using his best tricks anyway. Keqing is the one of these three I've managed to get so far. As a person, I admire and like her. As a cat (part of this year's April Fool's joke), I still like her and admire that she still delicately Electro-fries her caught fish. As a playable character, I can use her... but I'm a Lumine main who lately hasn't had the energy to do the whole "spend each day getting stronger" thing. I've got a less evasive but very solid sword-user built to a considerable degree, and I've already had to learn the hard way both what and how to dodge without Keqing's advantages. I like her, and can use her, but don't that often due to laziness. (If I played co-op more, I'd use a far greater range of characters.) The interesting thing about Zhongli is not that he has secrets; it's the sheer magnitude of secrets he's accumulated and the odd places some of them lead. In retrospect, there are so many problems we could have foreseen if the Traveler (who is extremely intelligent even if that's not clear for a while) had been emotionally engaged enough in the story to ask him questions we assumed we knew the answers to, such as "When was the concept of money invented, and what was its purpose?" (I still don't have a full answer to that, but have realized it goes very far into one area I had not seen coming, and that there's at least one layer to the ongoing joke about Liyue, Zhongli, and money that nobody caught when we thought we'd come to the punchline.) Dainsleif is carefully avoiding saying important things he's sure of here, but there are also things he hasn't realized (to be fair, he also wouldn't much want to).

And for Childe/Tartaglia each of Harbingers have 2 names, their normal name which is Childe for him and their Harbinger name which is granted to them when they obtain their position as a Harbinger which his is Tartaglia.

the one thing they missed in here is how zhongli pillars gives the enemies less defense against everything all elements and physical. Hes pretty OP lol

Spoiler, Childe is basically a terrorist from an organization called fatui. Zhongli is the god of that nation, who disguised to be a man, and takes on a job as a funeral consultant. Keqing is one of the seven leaders of that region.
