Amazing stuff as always

I get personal taste and all that, but I honestly can't fathom not liking the game. It's my favourite game of all time and I'd struggle to name any other game that gives me the same feelings Genshin does. Max Payne 2 will always have a special place in my heart as it was my favourite game for years, but from somewhere in 2021 (either February or late in the year, but I remember the version was 1.4 at the earliest when I started playing, 1.6 at the absolute latest. Liyue had either just been added in or wasn't far off being added in) Genshin just immediately hooked me. There aren't many games I'd call perfect, but Genshin is definitely one of the very few. Easily the greatest game I've ever played, and the most beautiful. Every time I hear the title screen music, I get shivers down my spine. The beauty of the game is unparalleled. And I recently completed the Sabrzeuz festival quest after taking a break from the game due to being obsessed with other things, and it repeatedly blew my mind. One of my favourite quests in any game, if not my absolute favourite. I can't praise the game enough. Words can't do justice to how brilliant it is.

​@@lukebradford (apologies for the wall of text you're about to be bombarded with, i got a bit carried away lol) oh absolutely! so many great memories come from genshin, i think it just gets a bad rep cause of the fanbase. before sumeru came out i was looking the most forward to fontaine but by the time the first batch of fontaine characters were announced i didn't want to leave sumeru! it's incredible how the devs continue to surprise you with not only consistent updates but amazing updates with new characters (almost) every time. the soundtrack for the game has so many hidden gems it almost hurts, from the caravan ribat songs to the songs that play during cutscenes. transparent night, speechless sorrows, lonely star's longing, so many wonderful tracks that make you stop and listen. even songs like edge of the prairie that only play in specific conditions make you go "i hope the rain never stops." and lots of the time it's the music paired with the visuals too! going to the dainichi mikoshi in enkanomiya for the first time as the vocals kick in and just pausing to take in your surroundings while this sad tune plays is unforgettable. one of the best choices i ever made was taking the waverider down the river to port ormos. seeing the massive tree fade in and the cheery music start playing was an experience i'll never be able to recreate! signora's fight is wild. you go from a cold and threatening phase 1 to FIERY and TERRIFYING phase 2 leaving a sense of panic and an emotion that can only be described as "WHAT IS HAPPENING???" sumeru's archon quest is my favorite thus far and i think i speak for quite a lot of people when i say that. they drain your emotions with the samsara then the dance at the end just makes you sob. the rest of the quest is no less amazing, and the sheet music for the weekly boss's soundtrack needs to be put in a time capsule for archaeologists to dig up hundreds of years in the future. i love pretty much every character in the sumeru cast dearly, the girdle of the sands' soundtrack is gonna be hard to dethrone as my favorite, and the game as a whole has left a stamp on my brain that'll be impossible to remove.

@@crunnchysnail Yeah, when Dunyarzad appears... It really is enough to make you cry, especially when it looks as if she's died. It will definitely take some doing to top the samsara. And let me tell you, my mind was blown when it was revealed that Nilou was the host. The dance at the end was one of the most beautiful moments so far. Every reveal in the quest blew my mind, and my brain was fried by the end of it. One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. I wholeheartedly agree with your last sentence. Many moments from the game stick with me, especially Dunyarzad's comment about not having any regrets. It makes her near-death and appearance at the dance that much more emotional. I legitimately choked up when the camera panned over to her appearing. I can't think of many other games that have made me emotional like that. It's not the first time Genshin's made me cry, either. It knows how to tug at the heartstrings. Even in the trailer. "My memory is all but faded, but I remember how she too loved these flowers..." I can't wait to get to Fontaine. I've still got quite a bit of Sumeru to complete by the look of it, but I know I'm gonna love every minute of it.

If it's Genshin, I would love to hear my favourite that is the bittersweet of Tender Strength, a piece that almost always played at the end of a quest hence the bittersweet emotion that I always feel whenever I listen to it. An end of a quest, an end of one's story, the truth that revealed in the end, it is bitter because it's the end but it is sweet because it's complete.
