As someone who gets far too invested and immersed in games sometimes - this hits home in quite a few ways. Gameplay-wise, since Traveler isn't usually very good (unless of course I decide to go gardening). I refuse to take a team without the Traveler in it, and... well... I die a lot and get revived by friends after the fight is over. I find myself increasingly relying on the literal dragon's blue beam of death as my damage just doesn't keep pace, and without either healing or shielding, I eat dirt and then it's back to relying on the more capable characters to finish up. Story-wise, so many of the things that we [Travelers] do are more accurately the results of luck, teamwork, and a decent amount of times, literal divine intervention (though we also intervene on the divine quite frequently). I have not prevented a single Gnosis from being taken, and I have just been informed that they are made from the corpse of my immediate predecessor in descension. We've also been shot with a number of emotional damage bullets from Hoyo. And now I've heard it said aloud, and the part of me still stuck in-character thanks you all, not just for giving voice to my feelings and cheering us up, but for the hug too! Because it bothers me sometimes that Traveler in-game can't give hugs outside of stories (that once we hugged Paimon, and this time with Nilou). Have a virtual hug from this Traveler, and probably from a lot of other Travelers out there too.
