I feel like Yae will have one of the best synergies with Chevreuse She doesn't really care abt knocking enemies back and has EM to dmg conversion in her kit Actually, maybe klee might also be good in some cases like beni + yae + chevreuse and her since with the amount of pyro particles around she should have her burst almost all the time, then she can be the on field char
Overload isn't fun for Klee though. Her range is short and her mobility is one of the worst due to her body type, so the knockback is even more annoying in her case.
Add a Nilou equivalent to the overload reaction like how she makes bloom cores detonate instantly and for bigger dmg, but for overload it changes the knockback effect into a short stun with a cd to do it again plus more dmg.
I think one of the mistakes people do when asessing a character validity and team comps is assuming all players have all characters. So they downplay a character validity because there are better options while for some people is the only option, giving the impression the character is worthless and implying you need x character to actually play "right". Which of course is a narrative that Hoyoperverse loves, I'm sure.
That is the number 1 reason why I despise Meta, tier lists and meta recommendation. It always assumes you not only have the character, but in some cases it also assumes you have them at C6, which is the case with people recommending Xiangling and Xingqiu. As good as these units are, at C0 they are NOT better than the alternative. C0 Xingqiu is extremely inferior to Yelan, C0 Xiangling is not that special. And yet they would tell you t go for national teams and have an inferior performance because you don't have these characters constellations
@bloody4558 Say it louder for the people in the back! The amount of times I've seen players to 'just get Cx Furina' the past few weeks is mind-boggling. Or 'well if you save and don't pull on anyone else'.
Also: Just because a character is really good if played correctly, doesn't mean you CAN play them correctly. And also: What if that particular gameplay is not fun for you? I prefer Ganyu over Ayaka, because I always screw up Ayakas burst. My favorite pyro DPS is Yanfei, because I don't like Diluc, can't play Hu Tao and don't like Yoimiyas gameplay for to long. I play for fun, which means that I'm not torturing myself by forcing myself to learn a certain gameplay, play a style that is boring to me or use a character I don't like.
@thebrigade7684 El can be used on any pole arm user. Er is the most important stat of the game. It's really a a great choice for many characters. Tp is yoimiya best bow and is good for many other main dps bow uses. At worst, both are premium stat sticks. To try and act like these are bad weapons is just lunacy to me. You're making it sound like they're the donut
Geo has so much potential to be the most unique element but nah Hoyo decided to make it just do damage only like the other elements instead of the ability to make more physical structures like Zhong or Albedo
I was always in the camp of "oh, they'll fix Geo, because they have to they can't just leave all these character in such a sad state and never release new ones". With Navia being what they pull out after two years of that, I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that Geo really was dead all along, and it's going to stay dead.
I dont get why people complaining about geo soo much, like its fcking rock, it cant trigger any elemental reaction but so what? I dont see the problem with that, their dmg are still high
They could easily make geo a universal support element like what they did with yunjin, zl, and some cases albedo but nah genshin devs have brainrot or something
My philosophy in the game hás always been reject the meta, embarace the fun and that is why Fischl is my main dps despite of me having Ayaka, Ganyu, Hu tao (I use her on the other Abyss team) and other crazy dpses, I play since 1.0 and fun is always what I seek in the game, many characters I used for the sake of fun, Noelle dps, Heizou and all of the traveler’s elemental variations.
Fischl isn't my main dps but she has skyward harp and amazing stats on artifacts and since I've been playing for only half a year, I don't have any fully built characters. So at one point she was dealing more damage than Neuvillet. It was weird 😅
It's interesting that freeze meta died a bit on the abyss since we're getting a lot of floors with big bosses that can't be frozen. But while this harms freeze it might be what revives overload because they can't be knocked back either.
The best thing Hoyo can do for Freeze comps and Cryo characters is to change the rules of Frozen. If Frozen reaction is triggered on an enemy that can't be CC-ed, it becomes an additive reaction that scales similarly to Melt. Or better still, give Shatter a big Physical DPS boost and if Frozen cannot CC an enemy, it is instantly converted to Shatter. Two birds, one stone.

I already have the true Geo savior and her name is Noelle. I'll probably still pull for Navia, though. I'm also interested in Chevreuse paired with Yoimiya since the knock-back effect will be less of an issue.
I dont think its a good idea to paired chev with yoimiya. I try yoimiya with fischl before and its not fun. Yoimiya normal attack> trigger overload reaction> enemy knock-back every where and make some normal attack miss
It’s sad she isn’t with Navia cause I wanted new pyro support (I benched banat after getting year later cause I don’t like him and players overhyped him till they burned him) it’s great Navia is saving herself from mono geo especially with off field burst that actually weaponize crystals.
Agreed. I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone by getting Navia _and_ Chevreuse simultaneously, but now I have to rethink that since I don't really need cons for neither Raiden nor Yoimiya and I'd rather not be scrambling for primos depending on what 4.4 has to offer. Will just have to wait and see. Worse case scenario: might just have to hold the L on that one.
Veteran players have no little reason to pull for meta if they don't like the characters on top of that. Conversely, a big deterrent is to spend so much resin/time to build inferior units unless you really like the character and playstyle.
Its kinda common sense..really.. Its just that now in 2023 people are more brave in expressing themselves..some random newbie can even debate you that pulling for meta doesnt really matter even for them..
Thought I heard that Chevreuse's crazy buffs ONLY work if there's only pyro and electro characters in the team. Like Nilou you're not allowed to have any other elements or else her special unique effects won't activate.
I hate this mechanic, I barely use Nilou because of these limited options. Such a lazy way from Hoyoverse to prevent characters from being overpowered.
I understood it like you had to have one pyro and electro character other than Chev. So the team comp would look like Chev/Pyro/Electro/Flex. If that flex must be another Pyro or Electro it’s gonna feel really restrictive. But I guess it makes sense since it would probably be op to be able to put an anemo character on the team to VV shred even more resistance.
@@mr.redhands8390 Homie then you haven't seen dps Nilou's (her c6 gives crit rate and crit damage) and she's insane as a burst dps even at c0 because of her burst scaling.

to be fair at c1 you have a bit of a timing to do with itto to maximize the number of hits you get from your chain. but yeah not really rocket science.
I think Liney will have a lot of synergy with Chevreuse, given that blowing smaller enemies away actually helps him attack uninterrupted, plus the individual HP regen helps him spam charge shots more frequently
And some enemies will be knocked forward to make it easier to hit them and explode on contact. I'm honestly using lyney, thoma, chevreuse and yae together. Thoma will make it easier to proc the overload from the get go and stack shield before quickly turning to lyney for charge attacks for even bigger damage before Q then E even proc. [C1 is also going to be a blast! ... literally]

if we keep getting enough decent non meta characters like Navia and Chevereuse with the goofy overload kit which I am excited for, eventually offmeta will become good enough to be meta, trust me
i think Chevreuse could be interesting to play with yanfei!! after all shes a catalyst with a pretty wide range so even if you knock enemies back you wont have to run around, it could be a pain to play if you dont have her constellations bc of the stamina consumption but if you have her c6 then stamina is the least of your problems
She's gonna be perfect with C6 Noelle, to battery her, and since Noelle's burst doesn't go off after switching back and forth, both can be a great tag team. Bring in Furina to further boost the team's damage and thanks to Noelle's team healing capability, she can keep the stacks coming. For the 4th slot can be any character.
yeah for a long time i thought that this would be a decent geo 4th slot, but after furina? no thanks. i wanted a character like furina, but i never dreamed they would make her something so perfect. stupid strong buff PLUS the strongest turret in the game in one character? honestly, broken.
Overload might be a way to make venti relevant again since you controlling a chaotic reaction with consistent grouping. It also might give some clues about pyro archon/Natlan combat playstyle(s)
if you want to know why use chevreuse over vs it's simple you can't vv any enemies with elemental aura on them like the hydro tulpa who is immune to hydro and you can't pyro vv without gouba swirl shenanigan Also I think a lot of people forget how hard it is to get a good em vv set that will give you an advantage over just using chevreuse
I mean..theres Physical characters for that..if you play Physical team..Superconduct is a must have..because its not like you can use Swirl or anything else to reduce resistance.. In terms of making Superconduct to be more powerful..Im not really sure about that.. But releasing more 5 star Physical characters..then yes..
I can't wait for someone to use Chev with Raiden, Bennett, and Sara to nuke things. It might make my atk goblet even better since the game refuses to give me useable elemental goblets. Ever.
I love the characters that have a niche or whatever dedicated to a reaction. its so much more interesting than just big damage from autos, skill or burst. or just a huge damage bonus increase as a support. these two new characters are so refreshing, and i love nilou and her bonus
My exploration team is an overload team so I'm quite interested in this new character. ( I'm not even going to try to spell her name because I will butcher it)
Yoimiya only really cares about shielders in vape teams. Beidou also provides shielding, DR and IR along with solid damage. Idk why you would ever choose Thoma over Beidou in that team.
I'm gonna do Chevreuse, Bennet, Sara and Raiden/Yae. I've seen the forbidden knowledge, Chevie has some crazy good multipliers for her skill and burst. Give her the King and Queen of Atk buffs and a consistent Overload triggerer and she'll do the mother of frontloaded damage.
She's got some crazy multipliers, yes. But that's hampered by the limitation on her ATK buff passive. Well, with Bennett on the team, the ATK passive doesn't matter much.
I really want to see more gimmicky characters. I’m thinking a support that increases the damage of specifically blunt damage reactions (shatter, superconduct and overload, overload deals blunt damage, superconduct is overload’s counterpart and it’d be boring if they only buffed shatter)
(About Ayaka on AR 42 Moment) It is just a reference to a moment in 1.0 when people "leaked" that Ayaka will be given to players for free on AR 42 in 1.1, which of course was not truth, but considering that these were the first leaks since game official launch and Ayaka's model was leaked before, people believed in it till 1.1 release. Pin this please :)
to me, overload is one of the best reactions. because it actually interrupts/cancels enemies' attacks unlike freeze which just delays them. and interrupts/cancels are one of the most satisfying part of combat in games. overload directly affects gameplay like enemy state and position and not just a number event. it's nice to see overload getting some love now.
I know what my Overload team will be. Lyney, Fischl (C6), Chevrouse, and Benny (mine is C6). That team accounts for the knock-around quite well, and Lyney does even MORE damage to enemies afflicted by Pyro. Fischl won't produce so much electro that'd she'd get in his way particularly much, just enough so the team can trigger overload reliable to trigger Chevrouse's buffs. I am definitely all for getting Navia too. I love her as a character, I think she's precious. If her Burst really IS 12s then I think I can make her work as a support for Neuvillette. Crystallizing hydro works to stack him up too. And those shields will help him avoid stagger. Toss in Baizhu for another easy reaction, as well as the heal/shields, then Sucrose for the RES Shred on hydro... and you have an unholy union. Best of all? Geo, Dendro, and Anemo utterly do not react among EACH OTHER.
She uses a gun and her weapon is a lance? Wow, they really wasted an opportunity here to make her weapon one those that have a sword at the tip of it. Since it attacks like a lance...
As is true of much else using that slogan, was Geo ever _great_ in the first place? At least there's more going on with its sole reaction, and I hope there are more artifact sets interacting with it in the future. Like, imagine if Crystallize shards could be changed to reactive bombs!
A good benefit of using Ol Chevy is that her skill triggering actually makes the overload reaction pull people IN. Another great reason to use this character: Lyney. As a charge shooter, his capability to overload consistently and from wherever is great. And having him, chevreus, Bennett, and 1 electro trigger unit(I’m thinking raiden or fischl) will give him the charge attack buff, max out his buff, and make for some nice reaction dmg over regular mono pyro
Is that actually confirmed? There seems to be no official sources on this, and even sites like Project Amber and Honey Impact have nothing. If that is guaranteed to be a thing, you'd think Hoyo would market that more. Do they really not know how excited people would be to _not_ knock enemies around with Overload? Fireworks Yoimiya, Xinyan, Thoma, even Amber and Dehya would be on the menu!
Hmm, I’d pull for Navia for sure, because I miss new Geo character, and her story and character so far is interesting through out 4.0 to 4.2. Btw, i can now imagine enemy knocked around like firework in Overload team comp. 😂 Hope it’s not too much to the point it ruin dmg potential of any team.
She CAN STAY ON FIELD! if you have : Ei - Furina. You dont need to worry about rotation that much. bc Their E can be off field. with Zhongli for Geo Resonance.
What I find so intriguing is players in games trying so desperately hard to find any type of advantage or "meta" 😅its so cringe go play story mode or easy mode on another game if your so obsessed with making the game have no challenge 🤣 I like Navia as a character, her design and claymore I will be pulling for her 💯and she will be a fine addition to my Waifu collection but damn people need to stop pulling for DPS characters or crit artifacts like this is a PVP game it's pathetic lol

ugh, I dunno.... I want Miko, and I dunno when she will be back..... but Navia looks great.....and Shogun is next who I also sorta need X_x also I have Itto, and love his kit... could the new Geo set be good for him?
