So funny, Dad's and their teenage sons. Shabani and Kiyo had huge fight a few weeks ago and it took 3 weeks before Shibani apologized.Kiyo went into hiding and wouldn't go inside.
Silverbacks don't apologize. They show humbleness to the troop as well as strength. True leaders know when to be tender and hard but no apologies. Silverbacks run the whole troop. He showing his son when to use strength and when not to. Gentaro in training and momo teaching him well

I like how Genki tries to wack Momo from above as he passes lol. At 00:23 Gentaro reaches up and hits Momo playfully. (Momo must be in a bad mood). I'm glad he stood up for himself and Momo let him do it.
Momotaro is just doing what comes natural. He runs because he doesn’t want to hurt his son but His instinct tells him he is in charge of keeping order so he does as little as needed . He knows he could pulverize all of them with little effort but he doesn’t……. Kintaro has NO fear ❤
Poor Gentaro was probably just trying to get Dad to join in the fun. Gentaro has the sweetest little face, especially when he is sad. How could anyone stay mad looking at him? He just melts my heart. It is as if we can all see what Gentaro feels by a quick look at that sweet face. Gentaro has expressive and soulful eyes.Such tender expressions on his adorable little face. I hope one day Gentaro is matched with our Beautiful Annie.( Shabani's Daughter ) I think they would make a great couple and have the cutest babies ever! Smile sweet Gentaro! If you only knew and could be told & understood that many fans all over the world watch you everyday and how much we love you, I think his sweet heart would be so happy to hear how many humans love him and baby Bro.Kintaro!! If only we could somehow communicate how many fans they have and how we find so much laughter and joy from them and how we are sad when they are. I think we would see a lot more cuteness, displays and happiness from our beautiful Gorillas we love so much. If only they were all taught sign language...They would be so shocked how many watch and care! ;-)

Momo wasn't running because gentaro was chasing him. Momo could easily stand his ground and face gentaro. He runs away to give the others time to calm down. All silverbacks do this.
Kintaro is a BOSS!! He's going to be a commanding, respected Silverback one day. He's a 1/5 of the size of his dad and still gets in there to try and get control of the situation! Great and mighty things for Gentaro and Kintaro! ❤🦍❤

Say what you will about how Genki feels about Gentaro, she is ultra protective when he goes after Gentaro. She kept her eye on him and was making sure he doesn't get amped up again.
Genki is a very good mother. She is always thinking about how she should treat her children now as they grow up. Recently, she seems to be living at a distance from Kintaro as well. This is probably because she thinks this is what is best for Kintaro. She does not think that Gentaro should be overprotected at his current age, but she cannot allow him to be attacked by Momotaro. I believe that both Genki's distance from Gentaro and Gentaro's protection of Gentaro from Momotaro are because Genki loves Gentaro.

@@zhyrem1873 it's ok, because more and more people are starting to see how nasty she is. And if you think that she is a good mate for momo then I don't know what to tell you. She is nothing but nasty to momo and the rest of the family. All she has is kintaro, until he gets older, then what. Every silverback she has been with lost interest in her. After a while you have to wonder, maybe it's her.

Silver backs seem to not want to harm their group, rather they have their 'say' and then back off or run away to avoid any further problems. Let's face it Momotaro is not running to protect himself but rather his family. He knows precisely what he is doing and the family knows he will not really harm them otherwise they would be too scared to do this.
I've seen the same dynamic in both captive and wild gorillas where the silverback disciplines someone in the group and the rest of the clan immediately turns on the silverback, chasing him off like the angry villagers in some old Frankenstein movie. Often times you'll see the smallest members of the group leading the charge and actually making the bigger gorilla retreat. It's such a fascinating, and amusing, dynamic. I've tried to figure out why they behave that way and the only thing I can come up with is that it's how the troop keeps the silverback in check, preventing him from becoming too despotic.
@@Hqhq-01 but they are not forcing the silverback to retreat. He could take them all on if he wanted. And they can't keep the silverback in check. The silverback just runs to give the others time to calm down.
They live in such a tiny place, it's a wonder this beautiful magnificent family can keep their sanity. The people who own this zoo should be ashamed of themselves.

I see things differently. I love Gentaro, but I think he tests and tries Momotaro. I don't think he was playing when he hit at Momotaro. Momotaro didn't think so either. I think he was trying him. Momotaro could really hurt Gentaro if he wanted to. Momotaro is my big baby and Gentaro needs to stop.
I'm glad that you are able to see it also. Gentaro is at the age where momo is going to sense that everything he does is challenging him. And over the past few months gentaro has been challenging momo. And people think momo runs from the others because they are chasing him away. Lmao. All silverbacks do that, but momo could stand there and take them all on with no problem.

@camouflagekumquat3412you are so wrong baby. Genki chewed her fingers at Ueno zoo from anxiety and momotaro mom who wanted momotaro father. She not selfish. Male silverbacks aren't allowed with babies until they at least walking and moms don't let the touch the ground for at least 6 months and even then watch everyone around the baby. momotaro is an awesome dad being raised by a single mom.
i think its just because they are not aggressive animals at all. the silverback does what he does because he thinks he is protecting but when there is pushback he runs! LOL
They reprimand then run away so they don't get involved in a serious fight. They know they would win but don't want to hurt the others. But silverback has to be in charge.

I would like to see Momo bred with another female. He has beautiful children and that is going to waste. I dont think Genki would be jealous at her age. She might even enjoy having another female around for company and she could enjoy helping raise another baby like an auntie
First Momotaro beat up Gentaro, but soon afterwards he suddenly felt a very strong feeling of repentance. But Gentaro didn't accept his apology. After that Momotaro wrote a letter of atonement begging Gentaro to accept it. At the same time he kept a huge carrot for him like a present and as a sign of reconciliation and thanks to that fact the problem was solved.

You folks the zoo needs to find the oldest son a bride and get.him a new home before the dad really.hurts him or worse!The dad already knocked one of his baby teeth out,the zoo is repondisible for his safety.Get it done asap.Or build another gorilla enclosure for the son and his new family.
Momo with his passive aggressive, inconsistent disciplinary actions towards Gentaro. He finds the most inopportune moments to check Gentaro. That outburst was totally uncalled for. Whew the bipolarism.
@@charmainejones5620 When did you see me say they cant do whatever they want? I pointed out his personality and behavior, which is distinct. Momo is not this consistent protector. He just isn't. Shabani is though. When it comes to Annie, he's like f*** around and find out. Meanwhile Momo is like today I may tommorrow I might.
@@Jadeisacolortoo he doing OK despite that. Haven't seen any animal consistent. He became a dad quite early, age 11, so. He doing alright and will get better. Shabani older.
@@Jadeisacolortoo as they mature they get better. Momo had to grew up fast without a dad. He has his moments I agree. Overall, he holding it down. He also uncomfortable with the construction going on. At 23 he doing OK. In a few years he'll improve. Let's wait and see.
