one of the best blogs on the planet says Ejeagha was born August 1932 in Imezi Owa, Eziagu LGA, present-day Enugu State, and learned to play guitar from two fellow residents of the coal-mining camps of Enugu, Moses "Moscow" Aduba and Cyprian Uzochiawa. Around the age of 18, he formed his first musical group, the Merry Makers. Soon he was performing and producing for Nigeria Broadcasting Services, and later joined the Paradise Rhythm Orchestra, a group owned by an Enugu hotelier, and the Leisure Gardens Dance Band. He founded the Rhythm Dandies in 1964, which later changed its name to the Premiers Dance Band. The group was forced to disperse during the Biafran war of independence in the late '60s, but reformed after hostilities ended in 1970 likembe.blogspot.com/2010/10/u...

Love from India. I don't understand a word of this song but I think it can give me a lot of relief in my darkest times. Has such a carefree, jolly feel to it.

One of the greatest songs of a living legend. There can only be one Mike Ejeagha . His dexterity with guitar, ability to sing the story, philosophy and wisdom in his songs and his overall vocal capability remains unique and unbeatable. Little wonder why no man or woman, living or dead, has not been able to copy or replicate his style of folk music- Akuko n'egwu. Thank you for the music.

Chief Mike Ejeagha, thanks for all the centuries that you have given us the music that cannot be compare to nobody's. You brought joy to many and still does through your beautiful music. I hope to meet and see you one of these days during this lifetime. May God preserve and protect icons like you. May you live much longer. You promote Igbo culture through your folk music.

@Osili map. Point of correction. He remains Gentleman Mike Ejeagha. His uniqueness extends to even his title. Who cares about 'chiefs' everywhere today?
