When I use to do diamond cutting I had the rotor in my right hand and the jewelry on the left hand using doublesided tape on a Acrylic plate used a press to press it down tight before cutting because I didn’t want to brake the diamond tip of the hammer but man was it nice to see the finished product. I made twice as much as other cutters since I was fast and accurate with the cuts. The good old days of downtown LA mid to late 90’s even heard that back in 80’s cutters made more money since they kept the gold dusts or the shaving and on top of that charged for the work so basically not only they cut deep To get couple of grams of shaving per big item such as necklace or big bracelets but they also charged cash for the work. I know few old timers that now have a lot of money since gold was $230-$270 for 24k gold per ounce around my time and they kept the dust and shaving and at the end of the month or year depending how much cutting they use to do would melt it make gold bar Weighting about couple of kilos. Then they got it assayed and took it to dealer for cash. I’m telling you it was the golden years as they said in late 80’s early 90’s for that kind of things
where did you get the bit from that you use to make the diamond cut? I've never seen one before, but you know what i'm gonna go look it up now, but if you can, please let me know!
