The most common giveaway for fakes that we've seen is the font of the serial number / production code not matching authentic rackets. After that, non-Yonex grommets. Keep up the good work CK!
Yonex ArcSaber 11 retail price in Malaysia is about RM729.. Compare with fake one is about RM200++ But once you use both, you can feel the differences of feeling when hitting the shuttlecock
another easiest way to verify if it is fake is lying down the racket(only the head) on a flat surface and press each corner of the frame(usually at 10 and 2 o'clock) to see if any bouncy feel. do this on both sides. This means the fake racket head is twisted(slightly). In this video at 4:46 shows a cracked paint on the frame. In fake racket you will see a white paint surface(or whatever material they use to make the racket) underneath instead the frame itself. If the racket is strung, observe the roundness of the frame. A fake one will have an out of shape feature which you could see it clearly.
How to authenticate if the sunrise sticker is the old one? I have the Isometric Z Zeta LCW edition and it has sunrise that just looks like one showed in this video, and on the cap is says made in China and in the shaft it says developed by yonex japan
I bought duora 10 for cheap price from my friend as he already have a lot of racket and at first i thought i buy duora 77 bcs of the price when i realize it is duora 10 i think i got scam by my best friend. He said it was a gift from his father and the racket look authentic but the price sheesh so cheap just rm150 for duora 10 frosty blue that made special for dato lee chong wei some more. Haiyaa what a dilemma
My South Pacific racket Yonex voltric lite 25i has come without the sunrise holgoram. Rest all things seem to fit in... should I consider returning it?
I've everything right. From the code it shows the right date. The hologram sticker. The buttcap and barcode on the wooden handle but the things is the code ends with pj. Is it possible i have a fake racket?
Hey CK! Just yesterday, I purchased an Astrox 77 Pro from an official retailer in my area (Singapore). It had met all the criteria, which included the sticker, the barcode, the cap, and not being able to twist the racket head. However, the code it came with was 11010142 with no SP country code, which made me really confused. The code on the shaft is 2939124 which seemed legit to me. The codes were also laser engraved which made me even even more confused. Mind helping me check this one?
Hey CK, just wondering, which country codes have the PBSI logo or not? I've been trying to search it up but I've only seen ones that say its only from ID or ID and SP, or country codes around Asia, got any clue on the specific country codes which do or don't have the PBSI logo?
What if my yonex racket doesn't have any numbers neither a location from it was made? I don't also have any holographic sticker, the only proof I have is the white yonex logo with the dark green background is there, I was wondering if my yonex voltric 60 is fake because it only costs 14.71 dollars (250 philippine pesos) which is very suspicous.. maybe it was used because one time I hit it on the ground with full of rocks and the upper right side bended a bit easily, can you know if my yonex is fake or real with my comment? Thank you!
I bought my Yonex ASTROX 99 pro from a real Yonex distributor, the hologram sticker is real and legit, so as the serial number, Production date and the region (Mine's SP) but the hologram sticker easily peeled off, is this still a sign of counterfeit or nah?
Hello, in my racquet there is SP after the code, but also it says "made in Japan" on the racquet grip. So that's mean the racquet made in Singapore or Japan?
Helloooo, SP actually means the rackets are aimed to be sold within Singapore or South Pacific region. Yonex only has their rackets made in Japan, Taiwan and China depending on the models.
Hey, came across this video and i have a question: i went to check my rackets (astrox 99 and 99pro) and everything checks out, but when i tried peeling the holographic sticker off it came out quite easily. does that mean the rackets are fake or does this sometime happen with authentic rackets?
UK Coded rackets means the racket purchased is in UK but JP has two ways 1:You bought the racket in Japan 2:The racket is a pro model and it's made in Japan but its in your local badminton shop no matter where it is
Thank you for the guide! Glad that I could confirm my Yonex Armortec 900 Power was authentic. My father bought it brand new, for less than £50 from his friend years ago. I never used it since I have other rackets but soon after I knew it's retail price, I'm just like, "Heck, I need to get this thing back to it's glory days!".
I dont think its fake. I believe Yonex had a different series of serial number for specific models. If you've bought your racket from reputable dealers, you shouldn't have to worry
Hi sir where can i see a code? My yonex doura 88 has no code do i have to take off the rubber soft thing? My sisters bf just got it for me for christmas and idk if its fake or not!! 😓
I have 68 in day place on my arcsaber 10 Peter gade edition, it is not encraved it is printed and all other things are fine, my racket is fake or genuine?
I got one with all the holographic stickers, the laser engraved numbers but the only catch is located at the butt cap. The shade is not light green that you can see on fakes but i dont have the word japan underneath the yonex logo. Also the serial number has SP after the numbers. Is mine fake?
What model racket do you have? Non Japan made rackets doesn’t have Japan on the butt cap anyways although I’ve not heard of engraving on the butt cap 😬
@@CKYew oh no i didnt mean theres an engraving on the butt cap. The catch (issue) is located on the butt cap because it doesnt have a japan tag on it, just the yonex logo. I think my racket model is muscle power??
Hi CK Yew, I'm a new follower, and I hope you will notice me. Recently, I bought my first racquet. The brand of the racquet is Yonex Nanoflare 800LT. I checked all the possibilities of fake racquets, but all are genuine; the YONEX logo is okay, the code is 010712SP, and the color of the butt is okay as well. There's only one problem: It doesn't have a hologram sticker.
The code looks OK, but it is weird that you dont have that rainbow Yonex holographic sticker. If you've bought it from a reputable seller then its generally OK.
Maybe When you got rid of the Original grip that yonex put there, it came with the grip because usually the original grip is very hard to peel of without any leftovers, maybe the barcode came off with the original grip
I bought Astrox 99 from taobao cost 188 USDollar , observe country code which listed as 120313N4, do you know N4 stand for what country and without PBSI also , but observation to the bottom cap colour is real ( green in deep colour )
Yonex only has 3 manufacturing countries for their rackets (Japan, Taiwan and China). So all their rackets will come from there. However, it's normal for their rackets to be coded for their respective markets. So an Indian coded racket bought in India would be normal.
Now easy to check is it a authentic or fake 1. Bottom cap the font of the Japan 2. Check on the code is it hidden or visible (fake) 3. Check on the sticker is it reflect the yonex 4. Check the lbs prefer on the grip and check online
