I saw a video yrs ago where this guy was saying that it's not recommended to sit on the sofa if the slide is in because it would bow the under belly of the slide thus creating problems with it going in and out. Is that true and is it still a recommendation with let's say, two people of average weight?
Official recommendation is to not add extra weight to a slide room when it’s in. That being said, I’ve also been told by factory reps that it’s very unlikely that this would do any damage. The safest thing is to avoid putting it to the test.
Depends on the tow vehicle mostly. In some cases we recommend only a sway control, but when the tow vehicle is closer to its max weight, we recommend a weight distribution.
